Italian people were just so tired, like usual these comedians needed an extra help to win their match. I wonder what Materazzi did to him to make him commit such an unforgivable act, but I'm sure this is anything but clean. The problem is that I'm not sure Zidane will tell us before a long time... And I have no doubt anyway that the real reason of Zidane's horrible exit will be forgiven and forgotten fast by your media and people as soon as we'll know it...
Nevertheless, this is a short victory from Italia but a victory, and even if France was better on this match you made a great world cup, so congratulations. |

Acting as if Zidane commited a crime or something, I missed the part where Matterazzi choked to death after the hit on his chest... pleaaaaaaaase, Zidane lost his head, point taken, but to say you're glad because he ended his career that way... or that you lost respect for him?? cry me a ing river, ask Zizou if he really cares about having your respect.
As someone already pointed out, according to some lip reading experts there was some kind of racist comment involved... you don't know Zidane, I don't know him so perhaps it was something that bad it made him act the way he acted... not a good reason still, bad move from him, but let's not act as if we're not humans here, he ed it up, big deal.
For those of you saying it was a dive in France's penalty... I suggest you guys look at every angle because it looked like a clear penalty to me, in the end, Domenech was too afraid of putting Trezeguet and Henry together after Vieira got injured. Diarra coming in was the worst thing for France and it proved to be a key factor in my opinion, just a shame. |

thnkz to both teams for providing one of the tiest final games of all times
the world cup turned out to be heavily bad the last days...
the final should have been germany vs. portugal (not the little final but the big final)
for me this sport has almost died due to unfair,brainless,non-behave players who act like they are gods and they think they are something special because they can kick ball :rolleyes:

It was indeed a dive by Malouda, though later France were denied a clear penalty when Malouda was taken down by Zambrotta. There is no question that it was a penalty. France had the better of the match and deserved to win it. It's a shame to see Zidane go out in this manner. It could have been so different had he scored that header from the Sagnol cross. |

Wow...I still can't believe why Zidane did that. I didn't know he had such a furious temper! He dummied him pretty good and you know, I dont' think any of the referees saw it. I'm fairly certain the word came from above after seeing a highlight because it took way too long to produce the red. But definitely deserved and even if he was called a terrorist (which is pretty low), he should have just laughed at him. Lacking Zidane and Henry in the PK is what killed France but Italy finally got PK monkey off their back in the WC and they deserved the trophy as much as France.
Every team I rooted for in succession lost; England, Germany, France so it was a e tournament for me, plus all the horrible calls, faking, boring defensive games. Hopefully FIFA get to work on this crap. Cards for obvious diving by using replays after the games and not letting players onto the field who have come off on stretchers for at least 5 minutes, preferably 10. I'm sick of seeing people carried off only to sprint back on 20 seconds later.
And France's penalty was a little suspect but the ref made up for not calling a much more blatant foul later on. |
