Actually, here's a link that kind of supports Theresa's "the media is aweful" statement.
This is a blog written by a TOTA that is in Lebanon witnessing the war first hand. Scroll down to the part about the media...pretty interesting stuff.

| I can find a link that supports my theory that porn is deadly...but that doesn't make it true or right...I hope... |

Hmm, I was never trying to convince other people to be in "bubbles" as well.
I was pointing out that excessive negativity wasn't psychologically good for any of us, and that we should try to deflect some of it by making an effort to be positive in our own lives.
I am not completely out of the know. I do know the VERY basic stories of world events, but am not aware of the details. It is and has been my choice not to over expose myself to media, but that doesn't mean I don't know anything at all, or am unable to "accept" it.
I have accepted that people are primal, and they will always be trying to prove their power. Humans are just stupid like that. However, I have a belief that eventually, after mass destruction of our species, there will be a change in the patterns we see.
Anyway, I digress. All I was trying to say was that we should try to make the effort to be more pleasant, and try to deflect the negativity that is consumming us as a culture. Didn't think it would spark such a large group of opposers.

Maybe consider that the psychological good of something is determined by all of its consequences, not just the reassuring or soothing or happy ones. Perhaps awareness and knowledge of one's surroundings produce more psychological "good" than being able to smile at cute puppies. |

| The thing is that news on TV are totally disproportional. Negative news usually are very important and positive achievements come after that. Most of the time it is the same. |

Alright, well.. I can't get any clearer than I have been, so I am letting you all battle it out about whatever you want to argue over. :)
Enjoy! |
Theresa you let them derail you... Aquarian was the only person to address your intent. Intent always supercedes Interpretation.
I'll reformat your intent into a more resolved package.
