I'm not attacking you for your personal decision. In fact, a close friend of my parents also chose for this life style. It's not ignorant. I also wanted to do this myself, but I can't for some reason, because when my mid terms are over and I have my summer holiday, my brains just NEED TO consume information, it's like they are addicted to information. Anyone else know what I mean? I like your opinion. It may sound like arrogance, but every person has their own problems and difficulties in life, and watching the news (with corpses, wars, and so on, full on screen) just doesn't help your conscious to have a nice little rest/break. |

You're totally on the right track with this, but it doesn't hit the nail on the head exactly. It is hard for me to really explain it properly without people misunderstanding what I mean.

Haha, Norwegian Kroners don't go as far though... so expensive... I was just in Norway two weeks ago, loved it, but could never afford staying for long. :(
But you have to admit, the Danish Princess is really hot. |

My plan is awesome.
Stop being s, and be friendly every once in a while. Instead of giving in to your first desire to react negatively towards situations, try smiling, and saying something nice, or STFU.
Ever heard of the saying "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?
I suggest taking that into consideration sometimes.
We have enough people advocating anger, hate, and pessimism. We don't need to add to those overwhelming numbers.
Doing something nice each day to brighten someone else's day will not only make you feel good, it'll make them happy too. It's a win-win deal and like I said earlier, it's similar to the ripple affect. People who are in pleasant moods can rub off on each other.
This is something I follow religiously. I have made it a personal goal to try and make someone happy on a daily basis. A few days ago, a random woman on the street was walking by me, and I told her that I liked her dress. She said "thanks" and smiled. It might not have changed her life or anything, but I am sure it made her feel more confident and good about herself.
It's pretty fricken simple, but it seems to be beyond a lot of people. Maybe we're just so angry and caught up in the rush of life, we have lost sight of our rude, and nasty behaviours. All I am trying to do is remind people that too much negativity is a bad thing, and it wont break your damn faces if you smile!
So suck it!!! |
