I disagree.

As much as I hate to say it, I think that we will eventually wipe out the majority of our population, and the remainder will instill the importance of peace which will follow through to a much more intelligent and advanced generation of people.

you're clairvoyant?

God thanks you for contributing another useless remark, go away hoser.

To tell you the truth, I think it would be more appropriate to ignore TA than the news. A lot of people on TA have been awfully negative lately, and seeing as how anyone on here has really no bearing on anything that actually matters, I don't see any harm in ignoring them.

World affairs, however, no matter how distant, matter. My local paper ran a poll on Friday. The question was, what worries you most: Israel/Lebanon, North Korea, Iraq, Corruption in American Politics, or rising gas prices. Guess what won 2:1?

EDIT: pkc, this argument with you is pointless. You are a full supporter of what I am against.

Look at the way you present yourself on here.

" you portugal"
"soccer hates me"
"your ideas better suited for 6 year olds"

All of this is negative, and is exactly what I am trying to point out.

LOL are you for real??

Finally, someone is asking the same question as me.

I've got to side with Theresa here.

Although I know the context, those examples might seem to have a rather confrontational tone depending on the reader.

Holy crap you people are frusterating.

MY POINT:

TOO MUCH NEGATIVITY = UNHAPPY, BITCHY PEOPLE (much like many of you... and myself at the moment)

Perhaps a lot of you don't quite understand this since you are the ones being exposed to it so often that it has become common place for you.

Seriously, what is so hard to get?!

Can anyone honestly say that constant exposure to bad things is not going to change the general mood in people?

Yeesh.

If you realize the context, then you shouldnt be siding with Theresa. The context is how its written, now how it could be interpreted.

Negative.

The context is where the sentences are compared to the information the reader has - in this case, these words are in a thread entitled "We need peace" and read by someone who (somewhat idealistically) supports such view.
