Yeah u wanna talk about nickel and dimed .... ok xbox live is $49.99 a year in the US we had a schedualed downtime for xbxo live for server maintinance we swent emails and posted info on our web site it was down for 36 hours i had 100 calls because people wanted a refund for the downtime because they coudlen't play for 36 hours ... i'm just gonna do some math here the vale was 20 cents people waited on hold for 1-2 hours to ask for a 20 cent refund |

My question is how many subscribers are out there? Sure, per individual, $0.20 is nothing, but multiply that by all the subscribers and I'm sure the amount will be rather large. So, why should the company collect/keep money for the time that the service wasn't available? |

that's not the point the point is this was schedualed downtime poeople were notified and it's in their contract that we can shut down anytime we see fit ... it was to better their service |

Okay so this is the actual convo I had with a customer, just to give a quick background I work for a company just like Rogers in the states and were selling new movers to get their cable set up so we ask all customers "we understand you have moved recently?"
Peter : This Peter ..yada yada yada .... so we understand you have moved recently is this correct ??
Customer: What do you mean moved ??
Peter : You know changed places were u live ...
Customer: Umm what u mean changed places were I live ??
Peter: Ummm ...... you know took all the things in your home and moved them to another location.
Customer: ummmm ..... ya we done do that ... |

Sounds a little slow...
BUT MAYBE...
he was just f'in with you. I get a lot of telemarketers/call centres phoning my home and depending on how frustrated I am at the time, I ask really stupid questions or provide very stupid answers just to mess with the person's head. It's lame but sometimes gives me a cheap feeling of self-satisfaction. |
