I respect weird basement music. You should respect huge commercial music.
:P |
I respect your taste and respect for it but it's hard for me to respect anything that is solely based on the number one evil of this planet (i.e. money) :P

I still dont get this. How can a handfull of ppl on TA represent a whole city. What customers? Any time tiesto or armin comes its packed, so they are obviously doing that, just because some ppl here are past trance (which is fine, i love other geners of EDM also) you cant say like someone was saying that this event was geard towards Ontario or something, like people have to stop thinking that just cause some TA's are not going that EVERYONE is not going, i am certain there is going to be a load of people from Montreal. |
I don't represent the whole city or even claim too...the only thing i can base my words on is my experience.I have seen every dj in the "top 10" at least once.My partying dates back to Swirl in 1996.I can absorb enough from my experience and at being at these events with said superstar dj's.The crowds there are not the usuals who spend their hard earned money every week and supporting the local scene every week. They are out of towners by a margin of at least 50%.Why is this?Because these are the clients being promoted to.You can call me a troll/elitist/whatever...i just would like to see something for those of us who are there all the time on the years biggest party night.Without people like us around there would be no scene at all. |

Wrong. We represent the smaller portion of the equation.
If the majority were people like you we'd be seeing Holden at Celebration and not Tiesto... |

no...if there weren't people going to events every week at clubs here there would be no edm playing on nye...point finale.
it would be hip hop.
Dave Gatling for lyfe.
nothing wrong with edm getting more mainstream, but do you really want it getting to the point that every dj spins the same thing at every club like hip hop? |

Good point but...
Good mainstream music = Armin, Deep Dish, Benny Benassi and David Guetta.
Mc Mario is not the worst mixer, he just needs to change it up and play a different set EVERY WEEKENDD!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree that whoring the classics is pathetic. But if you can mix it up and add a quality trackselection things can change. |
