A New Year’s Eve Dream Night
Tiësto to star at the Bell Centre’s new Resolution event
Montreal, October 6th, 2006 – Born a few weeks ago out of a collaboration between Godskitchen and Bal en Blanc, the new event, Resolution, will feature the one and only Tiësto, in its very first edition. The most famous DJ in the world will offer one of his legendary special sets at the occasion of this gigantic party presented on the night of December 31st at the Bell Centre. After having filled the air with his rhythms during the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, the Dutch master of electronic dance music is preparing for a Montreal New Year’s send-off to the sound of his hypnotic mixes. Other first rate international DJ’s and important Montreal entertainment figureheads will soon be added to the bill of the event bound to become the New Year’s Resolution that no one will want to escape from.

Praised from all corners of the world, Tiësto has gone beyond the status of DJ star and stands out as a first rate artist of the pop music universe. The DJ who started out in small clubs in his native Holland has not turned his back on his origins. Always true to the esthetics of the underground scene, Tiësto has no equal when striking a perfect balance between the power of great hits and the vital subtlety of more obscure or unreleased titles. Trance, house, techno and progressive sound mix indiscriminately during his energetic performances. Also renowned for his production albums – In My Memory, Just Be and Parade Of The Athletes (Athens, 2004) – as well as for his popular serial compilation mixes Magik and In Search Of Sunrise, the studio genius is the source of the great success of the famous Silence (Delerium feat. Sarah Mclachlan) remix and of his version of Adagio For Strings (Samuel Barber). At the dawn of 2007, Tiësto stands out as the uncontested master on dance floors all around the globe.

Tiësto en tête d’affiche du nouvel événement Resolution au Centre Bell
Montréal, le 6 octobre 2006 – Né il y a quelques semaines de la collaboration entre Godskitchen et de Bal en Blanc, le nouvel événement Resolution connaîtra un départ canon avec la présence de nul autre que Tiësto en tête d’affiche de sa toute première édition. Le DJ le plus célèbre de la planète vais offrira l’un des ses légendaires sets special dans le cadre de cet immense party présenté dans la nuit du 31 décembre au Centre Bell. Après avoir notamment fait planer ses rythmes sur la cérémonie d’ouverture des Jeux Olympiques d’Athènes en 2004, le maître hollandais de la musique de danse électronique s’apprête à propulser Montréal vers la nouvelle année à coups de mixes hypnotisants. Plusieurs autres DJ internationaux de premier plan et figures connues de la scène montréalaise compléteront bientôt la programmation de cet événement qui s’annonce comme la Resolution incontournable du prochain nouvel an.

I knew it....all i gotta say that the Bell Center is gonna be packed to the roof...this guy is gonna attract so many people from southern ontario/quebec/New York, Detriot, etc....
P.S at least he should play for 6 hrs like he was supposed to at Circus in Nov. :p |
