You'd be surprised how friendly and easygoing the DNB crowds are. There's no pretentiousness or snobbiness at all. Of all the times I went, I've never once had a problem with anyone. In fact, surpringly, DNB crowds is usually where I make friends with total strangers. |

Good thing Lisa said "post" in the last response. Thanks, didn't know what 40 pages per page meant. Guess, you have to be a postwhore to understand screwed up lingo. :p
edit: Just noticed when I logged out of my work computer it goes back to standard 12 posts per page. It's only when you sign on it goes to your personal options...I win!!! :D |

I don't really care how society views me but I have to say that yes, sat on that patio, only myself and the people I call friends are the ones I would have a conversation with.... Sure, there are some lovely people in this world with open wounds on their legs and one eye rolled into the back of its socket but come on Graham, most of the people on this board are fairly decent and some of the MAJOR sketchbags at the zone are what someone referred to as 'dregs of society'. I personally would be more inclined to use 'of low socio-economic standing'.
I don't think I am wrong in saying that there are 2 distinct crowd types and many differences within each of those types but , I love that dirty, filthy place and the tunes it pumps out! |

I'm not sure what it "officially" is but my friends and I usually have sore throats after a day there. Lasts for a few days. It might be because I smoke more when there or could be the poor air quality. Have a look at the ceiling in there some Sunday, it's wet. Ugh.
I love the Zone. A friend took me for the first time in August, been there a ton of times since. Sure there are some freaky people but they're harmless. I find the farther back on the patio you go the stranger the people. Inside no one bothers you hardly, if you're a guy watch out for the trannies. There's one who seems to hit on everyone new but she's easy enough to spot. The gay guys have never bothered me. My female friends are usually left alone but occasionally some guy gets touchy with them while dancing. I don't find the place at all scary, just entertaining, and the music is just awesome. I just find a dark spot and keep my head down looking at the floor and dance my face off. |
