Lets stop digressing and get back to talking about how much fun the zone is.
And I have the perfect way to do it.
Halloween at The Zone?
Sounds like a good idea to me! |

You're right, they're not good, none of them. Just trying to say that some are better than drunk. I think sketchy may even be the best of the list, at leat you're wired and awake. And you can make a game out of being a "super awesome number one driver" |

I'm pretty sure I explained that after Tiesto last time at the Docks. I think I apologised too for my pretty stupid attitudes a few years back. Sometimes you just really have to say it and try something the right way to understand it. Now I do.:) I select my nights sparingly (maybe once a month, if not less) so it's always fun, I trust my people, etc. I've been having more fun partying the last year or two than I ever did before when I just drank alcohol.
But I really need to see what the ZOne is all about. |

I won't even ride my bike if I've been drinking or on drugs, I certainly wouldn't ever drive. I have a friend who thinks he can handle his booze. He can, but not like he thinks. He's been drinking and driving for years. One night last summer he drove into the back of a parked TTC Wheeltrans van while drunk. When he showed up at home he wasn't even sure what he had hit he was so drunk. Unfortunately my brother and another friend went with him to the scene and helped him clean up any evidence that may have led to him. He's lucky I wasn't there, I'd have turned the bastard in. Maybe then he'd have learned his lesson. For about 6 months he wouldn't drive after drinking, now he's back at it again.
But who cares? CZ rocks! Anyone have any idea what the turnout will be for a Tuesday night? I'd hate to go down and find only a handful of hardcore sketchbags there. I was thinking of the Guv on Saturday night in costume then go straight to the Zone in the morning and do Sunday in costume there. Going Tuesday will require either skipping work or leaving early and then it's only a 6 hour party anyway. Worth it you think? |

lol, nah man. Smitty = Smith. Pretty common last name in the western world.;) I don't get into the selling, except maybe to friends and I don't end up making any money on it that way. :D |

Well yeah, Smitty means Smith, that's pretty clear. But from London, trance fan, pretty much the same age .... I thought the odds were too stacked. Anyhow ..... |

My favourite party time at the Zone, hand's down, is New Year's day. It's freakin awesome. Excellent crowd all day and the music is SLAMMING.
In fact, I don't even bother going out on New Year's Eve anymore - I just set my alarm for 5am, and head to the Zone for 24 hours of partying. WAY better than any NYE party.
LOL! |

That is the understatement of this entire discussion!
As a person who frequents the zone a fair bit, and the founder of The Cozo Tour Guild, I have come into contact with a fair number of these fine folks.
Due to not wanting to single anyone out and risk getting into a bitch slapping fight with said characters, I am not at liberty to discuss them over a public message board.
I will be happy to do so in person, and most people already are aware of my favourite list of zone comic book heroes, the best of which being "Go Big or Go Home".
That being said, it is precisely these characters that add to what makes the zone the best club in the city.
In addition to the wonderful clientele there are many other positives about the club.
1)The music is the most obvious one, zone is notorious for having some of the absolute best tunes in the city.
2)Dress Code. Non existent. Where else can you wear shorts, a worn down old t shirt, baseball caps, fairy wings, angel halos, and whatever other random piece of wardrobe you want to.
3)Plastic Lawn Chairs. I can't think of another club where if you're tired, you can grab a chair bring it over to where your buddies are dancing and chill out right there with them.
All in all, if it wasn't already obvious, I give my approval to the zone. However, there have been people from time to time(for some bizarre reason) who don't like it.
Most of the time it has to do with the darkness of the environment. It is very dark, and there are lots of sections lit exclusively with black light, which can make even beautiful people like RJ and Jon look a little questionable, while in real life they are ravishing.
There are also some sketchy cats there, however the bouncers are in my opinion the best in the city. I haven't seen a situation there that hasn't been handled properly, and to be completely honest, I feel much safer there than certain other clubs, most notibly viva.
Go with a good group of friends, and it is a great way to spend a sunday. |
I couldn't agree more. |
