I see what you're saying...but that's like putting a price on someone's life.

I've never had to take a cab that far before, so I wouldn't know. But my suggestion would be have someone go sober...and take a nap (even if it's in the car) before driving home.

I don't really care how society views me but I have to say that yes, sat on that patio, only myself and the people I call friends are the ones I would have a conversation with.... Sure, there are some lovely people in this world with open wounds on their legs and one eye rolled into the back of its socket but come on Graham, most of the people on this board are fairly decent and some of the MAJOR sketchbags at the zone are what someone referred to as 'dregs of society'. I personally would be more inclined to use 'of low socio-economic standing'.

I don't think I am wrong in saying that there are 2 distinct crowd types and many differences within each of those types but , I love that dirty, filthy place and the tunes it pumps out!

I couldn't have said it better myself Rachel!

That is the understatement of this entire discussion!

As a person who frequents the zone a fair bit, and the founder of The Cozo Tour Guild, I have come into contact with a fair number of these fine folks.

Due to not wanting to single anyone out and risk getting into a bitch slapping fight with said characters, I am not at liberty to discuss them over a public message board.

I will be happy to do so in person, and most people already are aware of my favourite list of zone comic book heroes, the best of which being "Go Big or Go Home".

That being said, it is precisely these characters that add to what makes the zone the best club in the city.

In addition to the wonderful clientele there are many other positives about the club.

1)The music is the most obvious one, zone is notorious for having some of the absolute best tunes in the city.

2)Dress Code. Non existent. Where else can you wear shorts, a worn down old t shirt, baseball caps, fairy wings, angel halos, and whatever other random piece of wardrobe you want to.

3)Plastic Lawn Chairs. I can't think of another club where if you're tired, you can grab a chair bring it over to where your buddies are dancing and chill out right there with them.

All in all, if it wasn't already obvious, I give my approval to the zone. However, there have been people from time to time(for some bizarre reason) who don't like it.

Most of the time it has to do with the darkness of the environment. It is very dark, and there are lots of sections lit exclusively with black light, which can make even beautiful people like RJ and Jon look a little questionable, while in real life they are ravishing.

There are also some sketchy cats there, however the bouncers are in my opinion the best in the city. I haven't seen a situation there that hasn't been handled properly, and to be completely honest, I feel much safer there than certain other clubs, most notibly viva.

Go with a good group of friends, and it is a great way to spend a sunday.

That is, Graham

The scenario I described in my last post could certainly be interpreted in a way similar to the bolded text above.

That news article does not support your allegation.

Anytime anyone is arrested, it's alleged they did a crime. People get arrested because it's a high likelyhood a crime has been committed, and there had to have been some evidence existant that bore an indication of the said allegation. Sexual assault is a very serious crime, the evidence had to be well supported.

Allegation does not mean guilty, true enough. Guilt is only proven or disproven in court. What we do know is there was a serious charge involving two employees. What we don't know, is what happened in court. From searching the newspapers online, we don't know if the arrests resulted in convictions, or even it the case reached court yet. We do know that thre arrests for were a serious crime.

Can't tell if you're serious, but that definitely wouldn't surprise me. Just like all the clubs know and allow certain dealers into their establishments and bust the ones who try to infringe on their territory. Corruption is everywhere.

Anyway, I've never been to the Zone but almost went after Decadence in April. Around 9am, there was a huge ing line, I was starting to come down off some pills I was not very impressed with (likely MDA, gross to say the least) and I wasn't about to take any more substances. My friend was super ed and disappointed but our driving friend agreed with me; time to head home. I do want to go sometime soon before my partying days slow down and I'm toying with the idea of giving it a try after Sander in a couple weeks. But since I have no idea what's going on with Sander's gig (tickets, set times), I can't really plan it out just yet. Plus I only usually party in TO with my two or three friends who party..."seriously" if you know what I mean. I heard it's best to head to CZ with a big group of friends but that's probably just more hyperbole.

I dont' really judge people and I'm sure the level of sketchiness at CZ isn't anything too worse than what I've seen at Guv/Docks/System or even at some big summer afterparties recently in London. I've seen sketched out people before and , I've definitely been that way myself but only with certain things which I dont' consider bad enough to lose control. I really do want to go at least once.

Should you really not bring money, etc in to the club?

all those parking lots full of cars, the cars get home somehow

and lets not forget all the cars at cherry beach sunday mornings.. they didnt drive there them selves, and cops come all the time and its no problem...

people take responsiblity when they drive after a party and if u are not capable of driving then dont, but if someone else is that doesnt make it bad
