Is this a joke?! Wow I had about 3 ounces of respect left for this list trying to belive it wasnt a popularity contest or a which DJ can whore the most out of their "fans" to vote and vote on them again and again but this has made me lost those "3 ounces" of respect.
Awful list. Just awful Im in disbelief |

DJ Mag poll is so frustrating when you are a n00b...when you grow up and start listening to the music because you love it you will realize.
I still cant beleive people talk about this poll that is basically pointless unless ofcourse you are a club owner looking to rob little kiddies of their hard earn cash to see a DJ for 50 bucks.:rolleyes: |

Its actually very important mate. DJs need to be on it to get the good bookings. Not many club promoters are hardcore fans and will use this mag to book these guys to come preform. Its sad but this list is quite important with the business end of it. It sorta dictates the worldwide bookings and the chances of your favs coming to your city if they are based somewhere else.... |

i'm not that surprised, markus is good, but he is not in the same league popularity wise as dj dan, christopher lawrence, deep dish etc |

Because you are young. DJ Dan used to be very popular pre-Tiesto/Pvd/Armin superstar Dj days. |

i can't speak for miami, but christopher lawrence, dj dan and deep dish are some of the few american djs (in fact the only ones) that I can think of that can sell out the superclubs like spundae, giant on the west coast. other american djs do well in them, but not like these guys.
they are superstar djs (as much as i hate that expression) on the west coast and if you consider how huge that market is, it makes sense that they did so well. |

There is no guessing. These guys just dont do as much of the web promotion (which is probably the base of your knowledge) because they have their fanbase. Less internet radio shows and stuff like that. History being involved in any city's house scene is essential. People have been clubbing for a looong time... These guys play SO many parties all around the world. They sell mad tickets. |
