| btw what's so surprising that Christopher Lawrence made it higher than Ferry? If you listened to the Essential Mix from Planet Love with CL and PvD you got the clear picture. CL played THE better set of those both. Banging, exciting and inspiring. Can't say that about many of the trance jocks in the list. |

I am not an Armin fan, but I thought he would finally crack #1 this year.
I feel the same about PVD's laptop sets. Don't tell me that they are live... |
most djs don't program their sets before they play? |

| it's a travesty ARMIN is not #1. PVD looks and sounds like a granpa, he should retire. The way I feel like is if you don't play trance, you can't be a good dj. I don't know why they stick with these commercial pop and progressive people who haven't produced anything to like in ages |

I'm not sure what you mean. Does Armin use a computer? I don't know.
All I know is that when DJs start using Ableton Live on their laptops to play club shows, chances are they are not mixing live (although they claim to be). |

Yeah, because they make all the DJ whores that go up into the booth sign a waiver making sure that the secret won't get out that they're just checking email and downloading porn while playing pre-recorded sets.
BTW, I believe Armin does his show, which is where he gets the most exposure, on Ableton.

Would you mind rattling off the tracks Armin's produced this year that make him deserving of being the top producer (or DJ, as it's obviously all the same in your mind)? |

I'm going to go out on a limb and pose a question to everybody here, because I honestly think some of the responses could be interesting.
Why do you guys care? If you like your favorite DJ, why does it matter to you where he places in the eyes of people other than yourself? How is that a "travesty?" Why can't you just listen to their sets and productions and be happy with the fact that you enjoy them?
I'm not trying to be an "elitist" here, I'm not trying to be an , I wont bash you for answering with your own opinion, I'm just generally curious. |

Insecurity? People like to identify with 'the masses'. |
