well.. looks like another year of happy responses to the DJ poll results!!
Shocking. DJ Dan is a great DJ but I would love to know how he got to 5th since I haven't heard too much on him or anything big coming from his corner.. compared to Sasha & Digweed and what they do I can't imagine slightly how he shot ahead of them.
Sasha at 7 is a disgrace.:whip:
Lawrence has never grabbed my attention too much, Infected Mushroom #12 :conf:? At least oakey & ATB fell some places.
I think this chunk shines of the outstanding quality of this year's poll:
| quote: | 60. BLANK & JONES – Down 29
61. DJ SAMMY – Up 31
62. JOACHIM GARAUD – New Entry
63. TIMO MAAS – Down 11
64. MATT HARDWICK – Down 6
65. FRANK TRAX – Down 14
66. STEVE ANGELLO – New Entry
67. DANNY HOWELLS – Down 42
68. SIMON POSFORD – New Entry
69. JOHN GRAHAM – New Entry
70. DESYN MASIELLO – Down 16 |
not that I don't enjoy B&J dropping 29 though of course ;) |

If I had to mention one dj that did excellent this year, it would be sven. But ok, he doesn't need a confirmation in this list.:tongue2 |

I know I've already said this, but I still can't believe how many people on this forum are ignorant of who DJ Dan is.
As far as I'm concerned, he and Christopher Lawrence are the only bright spots to this whole list. |
Obviously they're all too young to remember "that zipper track"
:haha: :haha: :haha: |

Agree.
The whole DJ voting period is just a 6 week long campaign of DJs spamming the DJ mag name. Brilliant marketing on their part, and at the same time making a joke of the scene. |

Supreme lolz at all the ignorance over DJ Dan. Not surprising though on a trance site.
And a few more snickers over Armin still not getting that #1 spot he's trying so desperately to achieve. Time to book a Disneyland gig, I guess.
Yeah, the American influence can definitely be felt in this poll.
As for the answer over "who cares", there's three answers:
1. Clueless promoters, as a means to add more hype to their flyers.
2. DJs who use this poll as a means to get gigs (one wonders why the Mixmag or BPM Top DJ lists aren't considered though)
3. Fanboys who use this poll's standings as ammo for their internet debates about their DJ really being as great as they believe. |
