Wow....clearly you are well informed in the field of world politics. Say, what exactly do you know of this conflict outside what you've seen on the CBC?
This whole trial was a fiasco. This 'verdict' was something that was going to be passed right from the begining. It was just a sham to raise public opinion and the whole "lawfulness" of the 'new' justice system.
If there was raising strife in Iraq before, it will be nothing compared to what will happen now. Even though many will disagree, to his followers, and other extrimists, he will die a martyr, and his death will only surve the purpose of stoking allready strong burning flames of hatred. |

so an indirect life taken abroad means less than one taken at home?
Are Blacks worth less than Whites?, Middle Easterners?, Asians? A human life is a human life no matter how many miles seperate you.
*I'm assuming that's what you meant by indirect vs direct. If not then I appologize and retract this comment. |
Yes, you're wrong. Apology accepted. |

Due to his disregard for who was whom, whether he was hunting perpetrators or not, Saddam's directly killed innocent people. If they were in the vicinity, they were killed as well.
While I don't agree at all with Bush's agenda, the goal was not to kill our troops or innocent Iraqis. |

| Hanging? This is an acceptable form of punishment in the 21-st century? I suppose if we ever catch Bin Laden alive we'll publicly burn him at the stake like those good old Dark Ages. God how I miss the civility of those. |

Burning at the stake...No fun in that, though. Firing squad? Now THAT'S fun. And I'm not a bad shot, either. I'll happily volunteer my services to spray a 'lil lead. |

I'm trying hard to figure out if you're being sarcastic. "freedom loving" keeps throwing me off. |
