just look at iraq before and iraq now, its like 100 times worse now then before. Back then saddam the ruthless dictator kept everybody in check and there was peace, now they r fighting each other, idiots
The problem is that some people just dont get the fact that in some parts of the world democracy cant work at all like Iraq for example,as you can see the place has turned into a zoo.Iraq needs a Saddam like leader to control the country, the Bush's way of democracy will never work there.

I wonder if the hanging will be televised...I hope so!
But yeah, he got what he deserved. Don't know about the whole hanging situation. There are a lot more modern techniques, but hey...it'll do the job.

Nothing will happen as a result of today, appeals will be processed, and more and more americans and Iraqis will die as a result of a BS war.
This will be yet another nightmare for the soldiers on the frontline, where some will come back to the base and others won't. There is nothing glorious about execution, he may be a tyrant, but the power he will wield in his absense is, as everything else is in Iraq; beyond the americans control. There is nothing glorious about this day. Italians killed Mussolini, americans are about to kill sadam, that means something to iraqis.
I realise that this was supposed to be an iraqi tribunal, but it is not and no one beleives it is.

Remember when Saddam gassed a whole town in northern Iraq? Innocent women, children and men all killed in a slow agonizing chemical attack.
Now imagine that you lived there and you were out of town and came back and found your mom, 12 year old sister, wife, girlfriend, etc lying on the street with flies all over their dead bodies.
In a region where they still stone people to death, behead them on national TV and cut their hands off for theft, Hanging seems like an easy way out.
He got what he deserved.

Because we can't compress those countries' respective inhabitants to create more oil, dude, that's why.

Uh. Not the chemical ones.
Look more towards the French and the Russkies for that sort of stuff.
Come to think of it, Saddam rarely used American hardware.

You're right. There are many dictators that needs a punch to the nuts.
But it will cost too much in money and blood, nor is it politically or diplomatically expedient to go after every single of them.
