heheh yeah somethin bro. for sure. That was at bajas though. We only had some beer and 1 bottle of goose and something else in the back...dont remember what it was. Didn't get too smashed though...I don't like to get wasted and work, know what I mean?
Even more so at a tryout gig. |

Yesss. Once I get a bit more pull with owners i'll work something out for the TAs. Hell yeah. Bottles of goose for the TAs haha
did anyone go to bajas? Smaller party actually...but the twenty or so friends in the vip had a blast. |

Thanks again to everyone that came out, and everyone who came out with friends etc. I keep getting more feedback from people i've never met, and also really good feedback number wise (as far as how well cool grindz did). I have a business meeting today with the group that ran the event (including myself), and other people from campustalk mag, and other investors...etc...so...I hope this goes over well too. Another step to getting some good dance music in this town ya know?
also, what did you guys think of the cover? 5 bucks reasonable?
I dont know if they had it as a 5 dollar donation, or required. I know we were pushing for it to be a "strongly" suggested 5 dollar donation...
Was the service by the cool grindz staff okay?
Just asking these questions to get feedback for the meeting tonight. |

I think $5 is reasonable, although btw, for some reason we didn't pay a cover... maybe it was only after 11? I'm not sure if having a $5 cover would deter someone who was on the fence about coming, but I would say increasing it certainly would... at least until there's a scene in this town. Also, I weren't into electronica, having no cover would have certainly attracted me to the event, especially since all the other clubs have covers.
The service was great, I love the bartenders. Cool Grindz always has a great atmosphere. It would have been awesome to have different lighting, though, especially since I'm there frequently and the atmosphere wasn't all that different from what it normally is... strobes of some kind? Blacklights? I'm sure as this gets bigger, the production will be able to be fancier. Most important thing of course is the music... and I was pretty damn happy with that.
You will definitely be seeing me at another one of these. Please keep us posted on how the businessy stuff goes!

News!
I will be playing at Cool Grindz this coming friday from 10-11. I know its an earlier slot but come out anyhow! The other dj's are great, and it will be a good night. It's one of the dj's (DJ Seraphim) brother's birthdays, so they are throwing a party for him. There is NO COVER AT THIS EVENT. There will also be the same drink specials I believe and there will be something nutty like 1 dollar shots. As I get more solid news i'll let ya know. |
