Breaking: Shooting at Virginia Tech University (pg. 7)

Hey guys, I'm student at VT and so far this is what I've gathered:
The shooter was a student from Radford, another university about 20 minutes away looking for his girlfriend. The first shooting happened about 600 feet from my dorm. Luckily everyone I have been able to contact is not hurt.
At about 10AM EST, he went into an academic building and killed over 30 people, some lined up execution style.
I slept through my first class so I never made it to class. I did talk to my friend who was in the class that I slept through. She said that they held the students in the building for a few hours and they could hear the gunshots.
What a horrible tragedy. |

damn, that's creepy.
so is the shooter dead? i see they have an asian kid in handcuffs, but this guy in my office said he thought they had a shootout and killed him. i'm not following every second of it, just keep popping in the conference room for updates. |

The shooter is dead. The police had a few different people in hand cuffs, due to confusion, while they were trying to find the shooter. |

That's absolutely insane. It's hard to believe a messed up relationship can result in this kind of tragedy. The human mind is a dangerous thing when off kilter.
On another note, what a time to make a political point:
