yep both Armin and Made Events seriously NEED to read fan reviews etc. Do *NOT* make the same mistakes again next year (and kill Brooklyn Brewery! lol) . if next years summer event is structured similarly as McCarren, im def NOT going. lol
I dont think theres anything wrong with booking special guests but then it needs to be similar to ARMIN ONLY in every way (length of set etc).

I don't think MADE-EVENT reads any of our comments/suggestions/requests etc.. (imo) (or maybe they do, but they don't take any notes lol)
after tobaccoo warehouse they gave us Brooklyn Brewery again in CP, and same thing happened @ McCarren park. Armin's set was waaayyyy too short. like many people said, first 1 1/2hr was kind of slow/boring, then we had live acts which were awesome. The last 1 1/2hrs was the best part of Armin's set. also, the laser show was very weak (imo). |

Armin has charisma and talent. He usually mixes good sets that build the crowd and cause people to feel elated when they leave one of his events. Unfortunately, I did not feel this way from his show at McCarren Park. I wish that he only had one special guest. Three special guests forced Armin to jump around with his track selection. I am sure he tried the best that he could, because I highly doubt that Armin would intentionally make a set very choppy. Needless to say, the track selection was bad. The set did not build, as it should have. I barely danced because I felt no need to. I heard everyone of these tracks a million times over. The sound was too low. I could literally have full conversations with the people I came with without screaming. I think Brooklyn had a sound ordinance because Armin usually plays with everything he has. Damnit I know Armin can do better, I have seen him do much better than this back in 2003 when he was just starting. This show has left me depressed. I spent money to see one of my favorite DJs and all I was left with was a headache from Jennifer Rene's off key singing. The best thing about the night was Rank 1. I am sure most people would agree with me. |
Such mixed reviews but I will take it from you Cait......I'm kinda glad I didn't go now. Deff not like the good old days @ Glow when Armin used to rock it proper huh? |

Brian you definitely did not miss out on much. I think Armin rocked it proper everywhere. This event (I hope) was a rare occurance. |

too bad you didn't get to meet jennifer personally; she did ask me if you were there. oh well probably for the best you two didn't speak. imo she seems nice enough and was actually better than expected live. |
