that track has lyrics which makes it pretty easy to ID although my IDing skills have improved since my class/internship ended. make it stop. gonna go home soon and only listen to hip hop. |

Well, I am with majority here - some good and bad mixed bag.
(not in any particular order):
Good:
AVB- I thought he rocked IT.I may be in minority, but if you like techno - see PVD. Armin is one of few remaining trance DJs, tho I do agree that his non-US sets tend to be better. This one was 50 times better than pvds CP last year.

Communication live
Venue - it was awesome! For some reason it reminded me of those old ultraworld raves in Dc/Baltimore. Fantastic!
Meeting bunch of TAs - big mike, melly, jerz, some who's faces I remember but not names. Sorry. ;)
Hotties, hotties, hotties! My mouth is still tired from saying "SHwing" so many times. :crazy:
Delicious kebabs with rice and white wine! Almost gourmet kind of chow.
Laser and lights! Reflection on back wall was cool too!

Slow start
Quiet sound
Rene singing - it was awful. Mad props to sound engineers who record her in studio. If this is what passes for trance vocalist, no wonder ppl don't take trance seriously. I'm surprised she wasn't booed off the stage, it was actually painful to listen to her sing. At first I thought it was some drunk chick that armin let on the stage to sing. And that song Invincible? Omg - not only I hate that song in regular version, but to have it sung so horribly? I literally stuck my fingers in my ears. I wish that time slot was used by rank1. Sorry, I can't hold back the truthiness.
Staged communication performance. Just in case you wondered, don't think it was armin playing communication live. It was mimicked. What gives me this idea? I bet its hard to play the riff, while striking a Jesus pose (unless you're Jesus)
Long ass drive from Philly to williamsburg in Friday peak time traffic.
Lack of flow to set.
However...
It was worth it and overall I had a wonderful time! |
