yea the summer ale was alot better then that other stuff they were serving last year
the beer could have been a lil bit colder but
like i said before i could not see myself drinking this stuff on a daily basis |

we actually had a good crowd come from Armin...I think a lot of them were a little beat from being at Armin all day as people started leaving around 2:30 or so, when you guys got there. But the club was full up until then.
oh, also, Dekay didn't end early because people started leaving, he was just really tired and hot. The staff of Rebel were running around trying to get him a fan from the moment he went on and to no avail.
On to the party though, thanks to everyone who came out last night. We had a really great time opening up for Matt. I personally thought he killed it, especially around 2 when he picked things up quite a bit. All of the djs played great sets all night too. Rebel is an amazing venue top to bottom. They have some huuge bookings coming up this Summer and especially Fall, so get ready! |

oh, about Armin...We got there a little on the late side and left early to get over to Rebel, but Armin was fun as always. Highlight for me was Rank 1 - Airwave. :) you can hear the percussion in that track come in from a mile away...love it!
Mccarren Pool is a great venue, but I still very much prefer Central Park to it. It comes down to being in a better location. |

Maybe my time perception was off, but it seemed like he was only on for 2 hours, like 1-3. It was fairly hot in there, though, so i can see that being a problem.
We'll be back, I'm sure, since it seems to be one of the few remaining venues in town, but I can tell it's going to draw a different crowd than I'm used to (i.e Love, Cielo, Sullivan Room) due to the diverse lineup of music. |

I had a great time @ Armin. I couln't dance very much because my bad knee was acting up and the brace I wore didn't help much. I was sitting in the back watching the party for most of the night and it was much cooler and the sound was better back there. Nice meeting everyone last night. The vibe in the back was awesome, very friendly people...random people I didn't know just started coming up to have conversations with us.
I was in a pretty insane frame of mind so don't mind me if I was out of it. I was definetly seeing some crazy that I really cannot explain :crazy: :tongue2
The party got much better once the sun came down and Armin started throwing down the harder beats. There was a drizzle now and then and the sky was kind of overcast. The lighting/lasers was not as good as Central Park venues or may be it was just because of the difference in space. It was a pleasure to see everyone :)
and why the did that dude keep calling me Meredith? :haha: I think I forgot almost everyones name but I remember your faces...I am sure it will come back to me once I fully wake up. After I got home I drank 3 beers, smoke 3 blunts of haze, poped a Xanax and passed out and just woke up a lil while ago.
The ladies did a great job...they were on stage singing and dancing and got the crowd going. I took some pics and video's. I should be done uploading in a few minutes. Be back....:p |
