This really hasn't grabbed my attention yet. I've heard some decent stuff but nothing amazing.
There's no way I would be able to listen to it for more than 1 hour. |

Once again, I don't know much about Dubstep/Grime - but I like the Burial stuff and that's about all I've found that I really enjoy.
Any of the stuff I've heard with MC's (that's "grime" right?) has been absolutely terrible. |

the main thing that differentiates the two is that grime has the stripped down, slow breakbeats with (usually) faster rapping vocals over it. dubstep is instrumental and primarily just made up of bass "melodies" for lack of a better term.
...i'm just getting into it myself, if anyone knows of some good radio stations let me know :D |

I remember some guy on another forum who was hyping it a good few years ago... 2005 or 2004. I thought it was crap at the time when I listened to some pirate radio sets, and just wrote it off. This was when grime and a couple of other daft London scenes were coming through.
However, it seems to have stuck around so I've bought some stuff recently and it has improved (or perhaps my tastes have changed). The more "artistic" side like Burial is quality. I quite enjoyed Pinch's album Underwater Dancehall.
It's a lot like drum 'n bass to me. I've been to drum 'n bass nights full of militant that does nothing for me, but there's real quality in the more musical stuff. |

Those samples sound quite boring and not dynamic at all. Rather dull.
