And regardless, at the very least for the most part it does seem he's got a sense of humor about it all.

dubstep is made for geeks who are too afraid to dance. they sit around the dancefloor nodding their heads and pretending to be clubbers. the fad wont last long.

I wonder if this is going to become as standard an argument as "I'd like to see any of you make something better" or "you probably just sit in your moms basement listening to MP3's".

I think it already has. I hear trance DJs talk about minimal & house as if no one ever dances to it unless forced to at gun point.

idiot.

I like some dubstep, but I like the idea of using it to build a d&b type set, perhaps programming it in the right place for a killer slowdown. Maybe there's no chance of that but I think it has potential in that instance. As a genre on its own, I do struggle to listen for long simply because I like a bit more tempo to music.

Tsk tsk. The burden of proof is on you, not me.

You're gonna have to do better than that if you don't want to come across as narrow-minded as the people you like to criticize for being "trendsters".

Why would I even bother considering that wasn't the point being made anyway?

Feel free to re-read the thread if you'd like. Or not, it's really no longer any concern of mine.

i keep seeing people complain its too slow or it doesnt make you dance enough or its not easy enough to dance. i guess im just finding all the good ones! check out "toasty boy - splash" and "mala - left leg out". i have played these during techno/house sets at afterparties at my place all the time and i have loads of people over and we all love it and get down to it. they have that beat that makes you wiggle instead of just side to side wishy washy dancing in minimal house music.

You claim that you can tell if someone likes music just because they want to be "cool" from their actions/posts/demeanor. It's not my job to look for evidence and corresponding concrete examples which support this claim, it's yours.

In other words, you can't tell me to "do my own homework" when it's your "homework" and your "presentation" that's being debated.
