That's the point. How do you prove that a person likes music just because it's "trendy" and "makes him look cool"? |
I'm uncertain as to how you've arrived at that point, but it certainly wasn't mine. |

You say that you can tell whether someone likes music just because it's "trendy" and makes him or her "look cool" via his or her actions. I'm asking you how these actions prove that this is actually the case. |

Actually by basing that statement on someones actions rather than tastes I can say that quite easily. |
I assume the "action" in this case is "rubbing my knowledge in everyone's face"? While that's true, I don't see how it correlates with my enjoyment of music, nor what it has to do with being trendy. |

The only "actions" I have to gauge anything by are his posts and his candor - I hardly think it's a stretch to infer such things from the majority of them made.
And I hardly think the "trendiness" of dubstep is a matter of debate. |

Considering I got into it before it got big... :p

I think pretty much anyone on this forum who is really passionate about the music they like must come off as an elitist to someone else. Seems inevitable. |

Some people just do it intentionally... |

Yeah, but as Jan pointed out, it's difficult to tell.
I actually enjoy being called an elitist every now and then. :stongue: |

Listen to these. If you don't like it, listen to it again. Then there are two things:
1- you don't get it: you never will. give up
2- you dont' like it: you never will. give up
leave it to us |
I guess I simply don't like/get it. |

Like I said, ignorance. |
what?, because I spent 3 hours at a festival in spain giving a genre a chance and ended up not liking it? because I spent a lot of time listening to annie mac and seeing her become the biggest bandwagon jumper of the 21st century? or because everytime I give the stuff a chance when things are recommended to me, the majority of the stuff makes me ing cringe?
the only release I can honestly say I've listened to more than once (and actually ing purchased), was Surgeons - whose band hands are these? |
