If you're gonna be an advocate of everyone's tastes being different/subjective and the "this isn't for me"-opinion, then you can't in the same breath write people's tastes off on the "trendster elite"-tangent solely because you hate the music these people love.

Actually by basing that statement on someones actions rather than tastes I can say that quite easily.

The only "actions" I have to gauge anything by are his posts and his candor - I hardly think it's a stretch to infer such things from the majority of them made.

And now suddenly you're saying you CAN'T tell at all? I think you should focus on sticking to your original arguments and how you present them rather than trying to pick holes in my reading comprehension.

Feel free to do your own homework.

And regardless, at the very least for the most part it does seem he's got a sense of humor about it all.

I cringe at the majority of his posts. Sounds like a teenager trying to come off as an elitist prick.

You really are so much thicker than you let on. I'm guessing you've re-read the thread about a dozen times now and have still failed utterly and completely to grasp any of it.

Just because one has some evidence to base an opinion of another on doesn't mean they can KNOW anything about them (surprisingly the exact point I made in my initial post - wow, would you look at that).

Good luck with your continued nitpicking though, champ.

Edit: And I don't worry about defending the validity of my original argument/post because anyone with half a brain understood it to begin with.

:)

And if you don't care to continue this, may I recommend the "ignore" feature - it's a lovely button.

That was an interesting chart from MetaCritic.

"Untrue" is a good album indeed...not that we haven't heard dub sounds and uk garage before...so, yes, music-wise is very good but its definitely not something innovative or something that hasn't been done before ( the Kode-9 album is also good).

Plus, this MetaCritic chart is wrong. The albums by The Field, Radiohead, Stars of the Lid, Battles, Eluvium and The Arcade Fire were all much better!:p

(Plus many more albums like Apparat- "Walls" or Port-Royal- "Afraid To Dance" for example...)

I don't see how it can be wrong, given it's an autonomous compiler of average scores. Metacritic shows what the critics liked, and they did indeed like Burial.
