Freedom 2008
First of all, I went in with NO expectations.
And what did I get? I think as already stated IT WAS AMAZING …
Music = 10/10
Crowd = 8/10
Friends = 10/10
Venue = 10/10 – I missed GUV so much as I mentioned A LOT
So night started out a bit rough, was running a bit late and did not want to wait in a line up and miss out on anything. However the line up moved quickly 10 mins tops. Got in met up with a few people, and checked out set times, which kind of bothered me but it was understandable why they had all big draws playing roughly around the same time, and it seemed to work. So after that walked into KH and stood around for 20 min while people made their purchases. Then walked in to the Orange Room, DnB, No thanks, after all that waiting I very quickly severed myself from the group and got to the drink where I settled in for a bit. Later went to go meet up with everyone and ended up getting swept up with everyone heading into KH for PVD, I didn’t complain just kind of went with it. I stayed until I heard the one track I wanted to hear Funkagenda – WTF, after that I was officially satisfied with PVD. I then continued on to see Felix whom really got to me and I stayed for a while until I couldn’t really take it anymore, my phone vibrating away that is. So then I went to meet up with everyone and ran into SasH21 (THANK GOD), whom pointed me in the direction of a few other TA’S who I stayed with for the rest of the night for the most part. Fun times Honestly I think you guys saved my night indefinitely.
Once they made their way out I went and caught a bit of Eddies Set, I really wanted to hear the whole thing but was having to much fun with Morrillo. While at the front of the stage right before Eddie Closed up I ran into “that” one person lol, go figures. At the end of eddies set he got down on his knees and signed autographs and took a few pictures. I shook his hand and thanked him for what I heard, and was back off to the GUV. Where I met up with the left over’s of my group and The Ear, and again THANK GOD …. Fun way to close out the night. Then made my way to Church which was great … SPIN SPIN SUGAR…

But Honestly like you said “Don’t Party with people like that, Party with us” , it honestly made the night, I hope to party with you guys again in the near future.

You guys were loads of fun and all I can say is thank you.
Also im oh so glad that I made it out to that lunch.. SO WORTH IT….

Ps. Also as some of you may know I was very un-impressed with Morillos set at Pacha NYC Friday February the 15th 2008. He Certainly made up for it at Freedom. |

You bring up such a good point. All the artists are great but I move around way too much. I don't think I spent longer than a half hour or 45 minutes in one room in a row. It's criminal having that many choices when you can only watch one at a time. |

Didn't we go over this last time PVD came?? You disliked a night you did not attend.
I was very happy with the entire night.. I was there for PVD and Morillo and both were great.
Morillo was the having as much fun as the rest of us. I was very happy to have him back in his groove. |

Well, if it proves nothing else at all, this review thread reinforces that it's the people that make the party.
Thanks again to all I ahd the chance to party with. No need to name names as then I'll just feel bad for leaving some out.
Cheers to all I had the chance to hang out/chat/dance with, looking forward to the next time immensely.

| i didnt find the crowd that bad except for kh. a friend told me a guy got choked out in kh... some rear choke held him until he passed out... crazy trancers |

bahahhaa... :haha: ..the thing about the trance nerds/french cyclists made me laugh soo hard, i almost died.. i'm gonna have to youtube that now

P.S.. this is the first time someone actually came up to me and said "Hey! You're T to the H to the L, right??" and I was soo surprised someone actually remembered me and recognized me by my TA name!! But I can't remember for the life of me who that was.. it's on the tip of my brain, I know it! ID yourselves for the sake of my goldfish memory, plz :) All I remember is that they were really nice (like everyone else, and as I can't stop saying.. sorry about the endless repetition here!) |
