For some reason, it felt right to be there on Saturday night. I had trance in my pants, and I remembered what it felt like to have those melodic synthlines tickle the surface of my heart. I had flashbacks of my first parties, and the ability to dance to trance managed to come back to me like riding a bike after a long time. I had smiles... chills... and even hands in the air. I was having an identity crisis because of this, and people were confused to see me there. lol. PVD's classic tracks brought IDs to my head that I thought were buried. His set was good. Nothing more, nothing less. It accomplished my fulfillment.

company = the ear, extremeways, deletefromusers

it was nice jamming with you at the end geoff.. unfortunate that my best hours were behind me at that point.

anyway, the theme of the night was the search for a sweater vest for deletefromusers who was insta-tranced-out when pvd went on. dude in front of him was clearly dancing harder in his choice grey sweater vest.

later i had the brilliant idea to try to buy one from someone at the show. the dude i found didn't think it was nearly as funny as we (I) did. :(

3 day late review of what i caught:

bad boy bill 9/10 -- man we were dancin!
pvd 9/10 -- solid and he gave an extra 30 mins
eddie 7.5/10 -- some great stuff, but i didn't see anyone else mention how many transitions he botched coming out of his scratches..
morillo 8/10 -- only caught an hour or so of the end. good fun but i needed more bpm than he had

Didn't we go over this last time PVD came?? You disliked a night you did not attend.

LOL! i was totally enjoying how plurry and positive this review thread is (nice for a change), it's funny to see how negativity is coming from someone who was not even there...

glad to see that those who did attend the party had a great time! :)

What a sum up Cribbs. ;)

Start of the night to Mark Oliver’s opening set in the Kool Haus. I was not feeling it at all. It had that... vibe that just wasn’t doing it for me. I wasn't ready to move. My exact comment was “I’m waiting for that song that is going to grab me by the balls and make me dance.”

Paul came on.

"My balls were grabbed" (Figuratively speaking)and I was dragged onto the dance floor.

As everyone knows, trance really isn't my thing, however I have been wanting to see this guy. But I couldn’t stop hopping, bouncing and yes, hands up. The way he grabbed the crowd and threw down his tight energetic mixes was stellar. I had to move from the dance floor to the side lines for a bit, as I forgot how intense the energy of a trance crowd can get. But watching from the sidelines is just as amazing as being right in it. The music just moved me. Chills. Stayed until Paul played his last song. I was truly impressed with this man. Then on to the main room we went.

The vibe in the main room was just madness. And as Cribby said, it was like we closed the door on one party and entered into another. Morillo was delivering the goods. Those speakers were put to the test and they passed with an A+. His level of excitement brought the crowd up to wild levels. Up to the balcony we went because the chaos was out of control (in a good way, but needed to be viewed from above). D’eluxe Lounge is such a great place to jam. The sound is just as good, you see the party, but you have your space.

After we ventured back to the Kool Haus, Eddie was just finishing up his set, which, as to be expected was full of energy. I thought a crowd surf was coming, fail. What a tease.

Mark came back on to close up the night.

“Open Your Eyes….and see…The Child you Are….”

I melted.

I looked to the left.

This was a perfect wrap up to an incredible night out.
