The only thing that distracts me about that guy is his striking resemblance (from a distance) to the dood from Prison break. Dekoze was +12'ing it hard n sweaty as always, and a lovely set from Blu to chase it down.

was good to meet up with friends again!

oh, and heres a bit of trivia... my gig, about 6 months ago @ the guv, i left a laptop stand on the booth by accident, and Jose ended up putting it in his office... and upon my arrival, i was greeted by the ever so pleasant Steve... who told me they still had it! needless to say, i was turbo in impressed. So good job to the ink family and guvvy for another great event i was fortunate enough to witness :D

who ARE you?

I had fun. ;)

PvD was SO MUCH better than the last time he was here. Very much enjoyed it. :)

Morillo was pretty good too.

I had an okay night: some fun times and some annoying experiences.

I don't think I'll be doing the All-Access events anymore: it was my first one in a long time and I hated how packed the place was...just terrible.

I'm never going to the Guv without ear plugs again. I am sooo thankful that I tracked down a security guard who was kind enough to give me a pair: after that I was able to enjoy myself MUCH more!

I saw lots of familiar faces but also failed to run into a lot of people who had planned on attending last night.

I listened to more trance last night than I have in a long time, catching about 40 mins of PvD and probably about the same for Eddie. I couldn't stay until the end of the latter's set, I was just too tired (I think the feeling ran throughout the crowd).

Sydney Blu in the Gallery was the highlight for me--always love seeing her. It was a pleasure seeing Joel out as well. Thank you guys for the pics/autographs :)

I passed through the main room a few times and heard some great house music playing; maybe next time I'll check out BBB and/or Morillo.

Joee Cons (I think) dropped 'The Girl You Lost to Cocaine' in the Gallery which I thought was cool.

I'll eventually post some pics and vids (either here or on FB).

Nice seeing everybody, e.g. Chris, Rods, Matt, Rich, Francesca, Linda, Simone, Ian, Vince, Rob, Peter, Sasha [:)], Kristin [;)], Shaya, Josh, Dan, Marc Antony, Angie, a few from Windsor (Lawrence where were you guys?!), and others.

My back hurts :(

i was all over the place, was giving a tour to my friend Toby from Montreal. It was her first time at the Guvernment and she was beyond impressed with both the venue and people! Thank you guys for being so welcoming! She is thinking of moving to Toronto now :p

The Music was incredible in every single room last night. I even enjoyed trance for the first time in 2 years i guess.
Deko Ze and Sydney destroyed the gallery (the sound there was way too loud even for my liking last night). I really like Greg Gow's set and Felix The Housecat blew me away. Cant wait to see him again!

But even though Guv was so much fun, it's Barb's pre-party that made last night unforgettable. Way tooo much fun! I wish there were more days like yesterday in our lives :)

love you friends

Okay so my Review/Story:

Started off going to Pickle Barrel Grand meeting up with Peter, Sagar, Sasha S, and Tara. Got there just on time to order food. I had great music discussions with Peter, who clearly knows his stuff, and we shared a bunch of laughs and good times in there.

We then headed off to Barb's apartment in the JAZZ Building located within walking distance of the Eaton's Center. When we arrived we were greeted by a few people we already knew and by a bunch we didn't. We mixed a few drinks, and many silly antics followed.

Eventually, it was time to head out, and begin our walk to the Guvernment. We were greeted by R.J. and Margs on our way out of the building, it was a pleasure meeting you two. During this walk to Guvernment, many other "interesting" antics took place. :stongue: (including me stealing a pink flower from the loblaws garden centre, putting it in my hair and imitating Sven Vath :wtf: ) Good times.

We got to the Guvernment and were greeted by a bunch of TA's. According to Tara Intangible, the ticket holders line was fairly swift, and got in before some of us in the guestlist line. (it was great seeing a bunch of you in line, Brant, Cale, Matt (the Ear) Tim Tygon, I'm sure there were many more that I can't recall now though). Got into the Koolhaus entrance, went through coatcheck, and made my way into the mainroom along with the awesome group of friends I would eventually spend the whole night with. (Sagar, Sasha S, Tara, as well as an ex-TA)

After a short game of hide and go seek since we lost some people in our Koolhaus/Guvernment transition, we headed up to the Drink. The vibe in there was SICK. GREAT TUNES ! However, it wasn't the best environment, people walk by you everywhere in the drink, always bumping in to you.

we then made our way down to the mainroom where Bad Boy Bill and Alex Peace were playing, fairly good, energetic, enjoyable set from them. Went back up to the drink for a bit and ran into an old friend of mine and went to Koolhaus with her for 20 minutes where Paul Van Dyk was playing, Wasn't quite enjoying what he was playing. But while I was there, I ran into Purplehaze (Stefan) and his Girl, as well as Matt (the Ear), and Scott (chw)

Decided to Venture back to my friends outside the Drink and in the process ran into Jon Jon, nice to finally meet you, it was great seeing you later on in the night as well. Hope you were having a good time.

Met up with Sagar, Sasha S, Tara, and we went over to see Mr. Erick Morillo.

He came on and played a fantastic set, music that was deep, and dark, he really took low frequency "in your in chest" basslines to a new low, it was DIRTAY. He pounded the life out of every soul in that room, it was fantastic. But his set wasn't entirely like this, he played a number of tracks with some great, very catchy melodies as well that lightened the mood, but then threw down another deep, dark track that just really got inside of you soon thereafter. I flipped when he played that breaks remix of higher state of consciousness by Josh Wink. That was Bonkers !!!!

I danced pretty much the whole way through his set, stopping only for water breaks, and short smokes on the patio to cool off. My body is so tired right now. I haven't slept since 6am Sunday morning

So, it was roughly 6am when we decided to call it a day, and we made our way back to the Koolhaus for our coats. On the way, we heard perhaps 2-3 minutes of Halliwell's set, which we would've caught more of, but Morillo was just ripping it far too well to leave the main room. We'll all catch Eddie again another time.

So as we were walking out, we see the rays of sun coming in, absolutely beautiful sight, i haven't seen sunlight grace those exit doors in almost 2 years, since in the past I've always left earlier than i did today. I was able to snap this shot of Sasha S and Tara walking out and I adore it:

We left the building to such a beautiful sunny morning, it was the perfect end to the day, but it was about to get better.

So here we were standing outside, slowly about to leave when we ran into a bunch of the other TA's. Such as Cribby, Invasionmix, Knox, Oreo_the_cookie, Purplehaze, Smuncky, and others. it was nice seeing you all. But it gets better...as we're standing around the exit, I blurt out "is that....Eddie....Halliwell...?!?!" IT SURE WAS  and some lucky boys and girls got some photos with him:

Oh and P.S. Thank you to all who made the night an unforgettable one for me ! Sagar, Sasha N, Sasha S, Tara, I love you guys <3

Sigh am i now categorized as "others" lol :P

What an awesome nite. Went mainly to see Bad Boy Bill cuz I'm kinda all about him and he didnt disappoint. He dropped banger after banger and time went by SO quickly!

Made the journey up to the Drink around 2:30 and not sure who was on but they were destroying the place! People were going crazy and the music was sikk! Was too packed up there tho so I went down to the KH.

KH was NOT for me. Was too hot, too bright and too stinky. And as soon as the ceilling started "raining" on me I knew i had to get out lol.

Had never seen Morillo before so i caught the second half of his set and he was awesome too and totally looked like he was having a lotta fun up there which is kewl to see.

Finished the nite at the Guv off with the Roaches set in the Drink. They were dirty and perfect as always. Can never EVER go wrong by catching on of their sets! After them we left the guv and headed to Zone... and thats a whole nother review lol

Only real complaint about the nite was it was really crowded and stupidly hot at some points in the nite BUT the vibe in the whole club was amazing so i guess it evens out.
