And, as explained, this means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things due to the variables involved.

we used to tell US servicemen that we wrestled with wombats and made them into trousers as a passage to manhood.

I'm not grasping at straws, you're arguing the wrong point. Read thread title.

You are an idiot of the highest magnitude who would really do well to learn how to reason properly or at the very least how an argument works before making comments like you do.

But if being at odds with most folks who grasp both the English language and how reason/argument works is going well for you to this point, by all means, ride that idiotic wave as far as you ing can.

If the rest of us are lucky, it'll drown you eventually and we'll be done with your incessant self-righteous bull.

Before you started going on that rant, you really should have considered your own arguing tactics. I have experienced it first hand with you... you have the tendency to argue points that are irrelevant to the topic at hand, and will often use it as leverage to make it seem like you're right. You have even admitted to doing it, which I have to say is quite respectable. At least you recognize it.

I will admit that I don't argue well. I am one to avoid conflict at all costs, (I am a "people pleaser",) but that certainly doesn't mean I lack intelligence or analytical skills - I just have a hard time verbalizing my point of view without getting flustered, and often times end up jumping ahead of myself without fully explaining what I mean. That being said, it certainly doesn't make arguing easier when the person I am debating with chooses to argue something I never intended to argue in the first place.

Rob, it is inherently obvious that you don't like me and I don't particularly like you. Let's do ourselves a favour and quit conversing. As I said, I don't like conflict and don't really want to have petty internet arguments with you at every corner when I am just trying to enjoy myself on this site. Just block me if my comments are too hard for you to ignore.

EDIT: That also includes you PKC.

Maybe RJT should join in on the fun with 9/11 truthers?

Only reason it even came up was because you brought it into the conversation as justification. You bring it up, it's fair game - just like in court.

People take heed. What you say, what it means, and what you intend to argue for or against are three different things that all, apparently shockingly to some, affect one another.

Just because you don't intend to argue for or against something doesn't mean you aren't actually doing it. The problem is not with those debating you, the problem is that your positions are inherently flawed for more reasons than you either see or acknowledge.

In short, understand what is coming out of your mouths or keyboards before you say it and half the arguments you get into will be avoided.
