lol, cookie said that a page back: he's been positive about lawrence the whole time.. :conf:

and krys, i think you're validity is dead, being 1: a promoter, and by contradicting yourself- if you're there for the music, what's wrong with the locals? and what's wrong with a smaller crowd at stargarden and the venue? if it's for the music..

the point again, is that infinity's meant to sell, not inspire-

you're pushing infinity, and u didn't even know who christopher lawrence was? :conf:
i guess you're free ticket has been paid for though hasn't it :)

Statement of the Year!...lol, so wrong in many ways :D

These opinions are so intriguing. Awesome to see some hype, I mean, it's only a small community here, but still some hype.
Don't need to bet money narcism, no one's playing with you
:conf:

Been to a few Pharmacy's myself and to be honest, why would group of muzzas bother you?...lol. There's always going to be some trouble-makers. No need to spill a dag. Dance, drink, laugh? Much better things to do (jeebuss sensitive.)

Def lots of hype in the City today! People wanting handouts, yelling out how awesome it's going to be, shops happily agreeing to having posters put up; just an awesome time, along with some smashing uplft trance in my i-nano, hey Kyrs?..hehe. Anticipation? Yet Another Day? Walk The Edge?....fkn banging....haha. And that wall was just frikken awesome!

i disagree also. especially when you consider that they have advertised that they will be playing all different styles, not just the standard uplifting/melodic stuff. from what i gather there will be prog trance & tech trance as well. Plus progressive and psy which is basically a whole 'nother genre as it so many sub-genres in itself!

anyway my initial suspicion is that the night wouldnt be viable in the long term but i hope to be proven wrong. if it does end up flopping i just want them to bring as many internationals as they can before that happens :p apart from that im waiting to see what its like before making any other judgements

Dude, how is it wrong? Trance isn't smashing out high-quality new releases consistently like other genres such as tech or prog; its coming out slowly and steadily and seems to be on the rise (hooray) but seriously, there would only be one OUTSTANDING track out of every 15th release. Look at Beatport's current trance page for new releases for example. I'd say the only highlight would be the Oceanlab track which was initially released years ago!!!

I personally dont give a crap about the muzzas, but other people do especially when they get bashed and pushed around. You'd have to be ignorant to disregard that factor, and you dont see it happening at other local trance nights.

However, Cookie reminded me of a fair point, and it's great that they'll be incorporating different genres. I'll check it out for sure, but with all of this hype from dan_essential and krys it better be ing unbelievable.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I never said that Jolz had the ability to bring down the event, I just find it weird that someone who loves trance so much would simply say "I dont give a about a weekly trance night". There was nothing positive to come from that. But sure, you dont have to be positive either ;)

There are TA's that can benefit from this and get to play at clubs like QBH and I think that is a good thing. Hopefully Future really pushes this and also provides a range of DJs that will appeal to all kinds of people.

In regards to crowds, I have not been to a Pharmacy party that wasn't full of weirdos. I thought that was the whole point? LOL! Let's hope that Future have a stricter door policy.

Look Jordan dont put words in my mouth.I love the locals and Im incredibly proud that our Melb boys and girls get to play such awesome gigs.Wasnt discounting the locals at all,was just suggesting that if a wkly event can get an awesome international regularly then its a bonus for all of us.Never said Id never heard of CL,I know who he is.But unlike the rest of u guys I didnt get into knowing every single dj and track name until recently.Ive bin going out a long time and my music knowledge used to be by ear,I heard tunes when I was out at an event and didnt necessarily know the producer/track name/remix but loved them all the same.Excuse me for not being as perfect as you guys!I love QBH coz I went there way b4 it turned into Famous and have great memories from there. As for it being about the music,it certainly is.I love seeing an international playing tunes they themselves have produced. There is nothing more powerful.Im pushing Infinity coz I believe it has the potential to pull some massive names. Also I am a big believer in supporting the trance scene in Melb to make sure it continues to flourish. So please dont tell me what I was trying to say coz obviously u have no idea.Trance isnt about ppl sitting on a forum and attacking each others opinions, for me its about having a common passion and just ing enjoying it with like minded ppl.
*end rant*
Ps how long have u been going out to events Jords?Coz obviously u seem to think ur more qualified to comment on them than I am.

Krys, god bless your little trance loving heart but FOR GOODNESS SAKE put spaces after your punctuation. Reading that chunk of text made my blind eyes hurt even more!
The space bar is the long horizontal one at the bottom of the keyboard!

i don't think i was stretching what you said clearly above, and you can't say ur just going to see what it's going to be like, after selling it so strongly already! hahaha

i love seeing tunes played by their producers as well, but didn't u say u don't know track names and stuff?? :conf:
mike plays his tunes at stargarden on fridays... pretty sure stargarden's brought a few good internationals down too... 3D had joop... where were you then?

and hey, i'm front and centre for most trance events that happen in melbourne, i don't just sit on ta and comment on it ignorantly-- and i'm not saying infinity isn't going to be good, i'm just questioning it's intentions, the intentions that you are trying to sell to us.

and that's fine, that's why i like going to events as well- i listen to trance constantly at home etc, but i go out to see it played by great people, and hang out with my mates-- but you don't see me ranting on about how great this new night's going to be because i'm getting paid :) i'll be honest, and i'll wait till the night happens. i didn't say infinity was going to be bad, i just said that i think it's extremely suspicious that future has now started a trance night: it's called skepticism and it's what seperates us from the animals.

i wasn't attacking you about lawrence, i just thought it was hilarious what you said to cookie- the "good to see a positive post" bit...
