:D

true... but considering the vids. the crowd was not even jumping or dancing other than a little sway, the mixing was poor and the vibe was not there.

This is a general concensus.

I think you can only relive the past so many times before it gets old...and the sunrise sets are now old for those that first attended in 2005.

Although he basically did recycle his downstairs set and used it on the Skybar, I think this is also a big factor. Considering how many times we've seen him up there, expectations are super high, and we're already bored of the same thing before it even starts. I'm all for sunrise sets... I think they're awesome. Just pick a different DJ next time!

definately think its a very personal choice as to what can be considered party of the year.

For me this wasn't it. However after reading some of the negative reviews in this thread, i will say that i don't share as harsh a sentiment as some folk. Fanciulli was the star of the night and this was re-confirmed on the boat the next day. Lawler I thought played very well downstairs but just was too drugged out and techy to star the skybar. He picked it up slightly but I think the crowd had already been put onto a downer and it was a tough one to recover from.

Dubfire shoulda taken some initiative and given the tag team some direction but it seemed as though he took a bit of a back seat to lawler and sorta played to his sound. Disappointing yes...but the two of them together atleast gave the vibe a slight boost. Now I wasn't there last year and this vibe was nothing compared to 2005 but i still feel it had its moments, especially at the end.

I wanna see Fanciulli headline the main room with no other headliner. Just Mark Oliver and Nic Fanciulli till 7am. That would be fun :)

2007 was better for me.... but you folks still have it made up there. Come live with me for a year, no a month... and you will be BEGGING for the set that you heard on the Skybar. ha

yes...

I'd also vote for fanciulli... imo he could easily become a toronto staple...
