solution to solve both problems: move main room lineup to kool haus and kool haus lineup to main room. breathing room for everyone!

I like the idea of hardcore and gabber in KH....I would be all over that....throw in some happy hard country and we are all set.

changing lineups wouldn't solve the problem. There is a certain percentage of main room crowd that would stay in that room and not dare venture to any other part of the complex.

you need to get yourself in the groove brodude

trust me Shay, I was trying!! I really wanted to enjoy that sunrise set because of all the comments people made from last year, but I guess I was forcing myself.

The music felt so "chill out" and slow, that I just couldn't find a groove...just sitting and waving my hand to the beat was it...then when the beat got a bit heavier I joined in. lol I like David Guetta type of house music. :toothless

and for the record, a "half-full" KH is still what? 650 people? lol what format do YOU think would drawn more of a crowd? Trance would have struggled imo given the fact that Tiesto was 20 mins away...

actttttually my friend half full koolhaus would be 1000 people..seeming how capacity is 2000 :D (legally)

I know, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt...

We arrived at Guv around 11 and there was next to no line up, we headed straight up to sky bar, ran into some friendly faces and at 11:30 went to mainroom for some Nic Fanciulli. Mark Oliver was just finishing up and although I do have respect for the man, each time I hear him I feel like Im moving less and less. With all this hype for Nic I had huge expectations, and when he came on...I was so bored.

Jeff and I headed up to Skybar around 12:30, caught the end of Deko-ze (which was pretty good) and made our way to front and centre.
As I already said Laidback Luke’s essential mix from Feb was just a warm up for what occurred at Viva. It was energetic, fun, a great pace, played many of the tracks I wanted to hear, the fireworks, it was magical. Ohhh and what a cutie :) Got a pic with him! I cannot wait for his return to Toronto.

Manzone and Strong put on a decent set but the energy on Skybar was dropping. I wanted to leave and catch the end of Lawler but I was in the perfect spot and didn’t want to risk being stuck way in the back for Lawler’s sunrise set. And then Lee Osborne killed everything. I was bored, there was no energy in most of his set and there was a really ty vibe. It was kinda sketchy and everyone was just standing and waiting...

And it was worth the wait. Being front and centre for lawler was priceless. His set was amazing. I have heard better lawler sets but even lawler not at 100% is still amazing. Everything was perfect he played a lot of great tracks, the weather was perfect, my friends were there, I got a copy of his CD and thanks to Mikey for getting it signed (and my other Lawler autograph) :D :D We left just as Dubfire stepped up, I would have loved to see them B2B but I was getting really tired and I had to do a bit of recovery before the boat cruise. However I was meant to leave at that time... fate was on my side. As we were leaving Skybar I stopped for a second in the doorway to wait for friends to catch up, all of a sudden Im told to move and its LAWLER BEHIND ME!!!!!!! I was speechless, so mad thanks to Mikey who snapped me back to reality, I got a picture with him, a smooch on the cheek and exchanged a few words. I was in heaven... Im still in heaven :D:D:D:D

We had a creepy experience trying to leave the drink and go downstairs in the complete dark... Sagar and I got lost kinda lol sooo weird. And people (although hardly any) were still raving away (lol) to MO... why??

Music – 20/10 - although I heard a lot of music that I really didn’t like I have already forgotten about it – that night was just about Laidback Luke and Lawler

Vibe – 7/10 a bit sketchy and pushy but whatever that comes with Lawler and partying at 7 in the morning. I could have moved... but loved my location. Oh and the doves and fireworks were breath taking.

Friends – 20/10 so glad to have my friends experience the night with me and see why its my favourite party of the year. Everyone I partied with – THANK YOU

And how can I forget... I special shout out to knox, even though I didn’t see you I know you want your shout out :p

Ohhh yeah, and after the boat I am now a Fanciulli fan :)

Guv sucked! Worst party I've been to so far. Lawler is trash, but then again I didn't go for him.

Zone rocked tho :)

If Lawlers sound is best described as DARK.. what sense does it make to have him play a SUNRISE set..??

I thought his inside set was better compared to the one outside, maybe because of the atmosphere. Crowd this year certainly was different. Whoever was in the orange room at around 4:30 did a stellar job, and played tracks I've never heard (i wish this could happen more often), really had the crowd moving.

On a side note, I wore earplugs for the first time at a nightclub and all i can say is i will NEVER go without them. I can't understand how some people can endure that intensity for more than an hour or two. It actually allowed me to hear the music clearer, as stupid as that sounds.

7.5/10
