lol. i knew MK would fill you in.

as i understand, the horse is unable to jump those jumps without the rider since it's not natural for them to do. like she said, the horse just doesn't go around jumping these things. especially with 3 in a row or really high ones. also in a decent amount of time.

it's also an ancient sport of royalty. it stays in the olympics!

I am just saying that I can see where people might not see it as a sport since it isn't solely based 100% on the training and conditioning of the athlete.

No need to get all defensive...i'm not the one who said that it isn't a sport lol

pshh..whatever...

People don't know what Theoretically means lol...

or maybe I should of used hypothetically instead...

Hypothetically, do you need to use a horse in Horse racing? Can you just ride on the back of some ugly chick (who looks like a horse) and get her to jump the rails for you? :D

Just the same, the horse would never make it over the jump without the guidance of the rider. They work as a team.

A biker would never win the race without its bike, just the same, a horse would not go around a course without its rider. We are not talking about greyhound racing here. there is nothing to lour the horse to go as fast as it can around a jump with grace, skill, and stability. That comes from the rider.

i think these two points are the key. the horse is considered equipment and so much more than that because it's equipment that also has a mind of it's own so it's much much harder.

Realistically, placed in a show ring with 9-20 jumps in a sequenced course, no, the horse would not go around, at all. It would walk back to the gate, and look out at the crowd around it, freak out and run around, eat some plants used in the jump set up (or grass if it's a grass ring), whinny, or stand there with a blank look on its face.

So no, Theoretically, you are incorrect.

fine..how about technically? lol

I'm sure we could 'technically' genetically engineer a horse that could jump 10 feet in the air lol....no?

The tallest dude was somehow 8 feet 5 inches....anything is possible!

again, it would have to be engineered into having the mind of a human to do the jumps in sequence and under a certain time limit. and not be scared of the jumps.

Technically, a horse is not physically capable of such heights... why don't you stop arguing about something you have no clue about.
