I wonder what kind of parties they'd have for the Olympics @ Guv or who'd they bring to Spin.

I still remember that Tiesto performed during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in 2004 in Greece. That would've been pretty sweet.

Apparently Celine Dion is performing this year (WTF lol I guess they like her over there)

PS. I can't wait for Doubles Table Tennis!!

China Vs. China in Doubles Table Tennis.. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

.. just so long as there wouldn't a repeat at the mtcc like for the grey cup... 100,000 cases of beer sold in 3 days :eyes:

thank god no one wanted to buy food. the area i was working was so dead i was gettin paid to watch all the concerts

Tiesto at Greece was pretty awesome actually, I remember we watched it just cos he was playing lol:) and then he passed by Cyprus and that's when I saw him for the first time, open air party ftw :)

This is going to be oodles of fun flying back to Shanghai during the cluster...as if it isn't crowded enough there already :nervous:

Should be interesting to see how Shanghai transforms...no way I'd go near Beijing!

Funny story....a friend of mine helps do PR for a live band bar on TongRen Road in Shanghai (which is a well-known area for "talking girls" and other sorts of activities girls/"girls").
The bar my friend works with had an 80s-themed event planned for a Saturday night and can't start until 1am because the police only want the bars on that street open from 1am-8am since the American Olympics Delegation will be staying at a hotel nearby.

Wouldn't want the officials to see any trannys strutting down the sidewalk! :p

I'm pretty interested to see what the opening ceremonies will look like.

I'll warm up by hotbox and watch TV in my car to simulate the experience.

You have to leave a bag of trash in the car for about a day before and park by a sewer to fully complete that simulation.

Ok what is with the Chinese's obsession with Celine Dion? I haven't been able to recall a day where I haven't heard at least ONE song of hers playing in public. Mind you this is also the place where you hear Jingle Bells in July.....:p
