non-euphimistic version = I want to date someone who likes deadmau5 too but doesn't do drugs and then talk to the wall |

I honestly don't know if i can ever date a girl that likes hiphop (or other non edm type music) and does not go out to places i do, could that ever work? what do you guys think.. |
Non Edm type music for the most part disguishes a scene much like the one that we are in, so this leads me believe that this is the reason a lot of people taking the discussion that way...
I don't know. Just my thoughts. |

I'd say the girl would have the appreciate house etc but not be totally infatuated with it. My girlfriend is a considerable fan of house and is starting to get into techno which is great. Unfortunately she never dances when I bring her out to an event. She'll literally stand there in the middle of the dancefloor and suck the good vibes out of the area.
There was one rare occasion where she actually danced and had a good time but it was likely because she was really drunk and stoned. I figured she just doesn't like dancing in general but she has told me that when she goes out with her other friends she dances. When asked why she doesn't dance when she's with me she says she isn't comfortable with me watching her dance - what a ing girl answer. Lesson learned - I don't invite her out anymore.

lol Jeff you're so silly!
a. why can't the girl take care of herself?
b. she wants to leave early - she can cab it home! I do! what's wrong with leaving/arriving separately?
c. house vs. trance lol! so you go and listen to your own music then.. at LoL I was planning to be at the main room for house, but then Armin took over and it was trance all night.. but that was just because I was having so much fun, not because I couldn't venture on my own to listen to house!
d. expensive? how about splitting up costs? do you seriously feel obliged to pay for everything? |
took the words right out of my mouth |

I hope you're not quoting me in advocating the notion of "importance of scene." The only reason I said that was because it would appear to me that this is the logic people are going by |
nope. you were just the last person to throw down the concept. |

my gf prefers hard techno like karakasis, delgardo, peppelino, dastin, odessa soundfreaks, kali etc.
i prefer groovy banging minimal like kanio, autistic, cardo, piatto, dandi&ugo, leeks, vladimir acic etc.
We both make fun of tiesto, pvd, and deadmaus and since im in charge of music we usually listen to minimal. Works for me, lol
Dating someone with other interests in music is undesirable imo. |
