if you invite someone to do something they do not want to it is common courtesy to not make them pay to do it.
are you single? |
nope :)
hmm, I didn't think of it as inviting to do something they don't want to do, sorry, I assumed it was a mutual agreement to attend an event |

What if it was an all access night and you wanted to listen to House, but she wants you to listen to trance ( )...that could ruin your night!
|
Sorry Jeff but thats the WORST thought process ever.
You were at Guv 12.... I was in KH most the night, Michael was in the main room. Both of us had the time of our lives. |

lol Jeff you're so silly!
a. why can't the girl take care of herself?
b. she wants to leave early - she can cab it home! I do! what's wrong with leaving/arriving separately?
c. house vs. trance lol! so you go and listen to your own music then.. at LoL I was planning to be at the main room for house, but then Armin took over and it was trance all night.. but that was just because I was having so much fun, not because I couldn't venture on my own to listen to house!
d. expensive? how about splitting up costs? do you seriously feel obliged to pay for everything? |
a. The girl can take care of herself, but majority of the time the guy pays for most things. That's just how it works.
b. I'm not going to let her take a cab home alone. That is i) irresponsible ii) she could have had too much to drink, or isn't feeling well so the right thing to do would be to take her home c) it's expensive to take a cab everywhere lol You might be making the big $$ but i'm not making that much.
c. All i'm trying to say is that she may want to hangout with at the club which could cause a conflict if you don't want to hangout with others.
d. it's the same as point a.
I know a lot of people out there (not going to name any names) who end up having to take care of their for most of the night, or end up getting into fights over stupid things, etc.
I wouldn't want to have to deal with that when i'm out.
Not to mention the fact that usually when you're both into the scene, if you were ever to break up, odds are you will run into your ex quite often. I know enough people who end up hiding from people when they are out lol

I'm not say for everyone or every situation. I'm just saying that it could be a possible issue.
Obviously there are alot of compatible couples that can party together.
You & Mikey, and Stefan & Sarah as we've seen from this example. But there are lots of others out there who aren't. I see it and hear it everytime I go.
It's not that often i'll here "thank god my gf isn't coming tonight...I don't have to worry about her".
What about guys. Guys get jealous quite often. Don't tell me that random boys have never hit on you girls lol.
Not all boys would be able to handle that in a calmly matter.

lol what does it have to do with how much I make? I moved downtown so I can afford cabbing :) I guess you both live in Sauga? that's a dif story

life with blinders is funny.
There is so much more to life then the "scene".

I disagree. Seems to me in NA culture, dates are more or less split 50/50 for paying, if not the guy pays one time, the girl pays other.
certainly when I invite someone out, I will pay for everything because the person is out on my invitation, but I don't feel obligated to pay for everything all the time

that's just silly. you are allowed to ignore a person. i'm not going to let someone ruin me from having a good time at an event |
