| Guys I think its time more club owners invest in a good EDM club. Vanguard isn't cutting it, There needs to be more competition and Avalon is not part of it that place is a crack house. Circus I have never gone to so I cant say anything but I think there should be a few more clubs like Vanguard in LA because EDM is becoming more and more popular. Next club needs a dress code!!!! |

that!!! That place is way too crowded. I understand Guetta is a big name and Giant wants to make money but this is dance music. If I don't have room to mingle about and breath, never mind dance, I'm passing. |

| Giant should do DJs that pull like that, at the Hollywood palladium! That place has a huge floor to dance on, and ppl who want tables could sit in the VIP area upstairs, which borders the two sides of the floor, and has an awesome view of the Dj. |

I take it you've been there?!
It's a badass joint! Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago to see my favorite band. And the first thing that came to my head upon walking into the main room was "this would make an awesome club!" |

| problem is that i don't think they have permits to go late yet. they might have in past but i dont think they one currently. Greg (cool1g) would know the answer to that. |

yep - the Palladium can only go to 2am... the NYE IM show closes then as evidence of that. and didn't the Tiesto NYE show there a couple of years ago close at 2 also?
to go to 4am you have to have a special permit which concert venues typically can't get (the Henry Fonda is grandfathered in much like Avalon).
and the Palladium's occupancy overall is about the same as Vanguard though granted they have just 1 room so everyone is in the main room unlike 3 + the patio at Vanguard.
while it was madness outside the venue, inside i think they did a good job - its was slammed but not any worse than Kaskade or Sasha shows recently IMO...
when you bring in what is probably now LA's #2 draw behind Tiesto, you have to expect it will be slammed.
the good news is that David said after the nite was over he had such a good time that he wants to try and come back right before the WMC - we'll see if that pans out. |

At least I did see the security taking away people's light's thankfully!
David Guetta's night is arguably the busiest night of the year @ Vanguard. I saw what it looked like around 9:30 outside so I don't even wanna imagine what it looked like an hour after!
I even saw a guy and a girl jump over the fence by the Buddha! (I thought that only happens @ Monster Massiva circa 2005! lol)
Fun times! Luckily my friends had an elevated table so we had some breathing room!
The beauty about Guetta vs. Tiesto is that Guetta brings in more chicks and hotter chicks + wayyyyyyyy less washing machines! Plus better music IMO. |

I would rather deal with that then the amount of douchebags that would show up if there was a dress code. |
