| You ever notice that the people who wear gym wear to school are the ones who look like they've never stepped foot in a gym in their life? Lol. |

The only time I wear gym clothes to school is if I wake up really late and need to rush to school. I still try to look somewhat presentable though, and if at all possible I'll go home on a break and put on regular clothes. If I know I'm not gonna get much sleep, I also shower at night just to be safe! |

| Of course you don't wear sweats and loungey clothes all the time but if I woke up at 5:30am - 6:00am to get to school for 8 ish... hell yes I wore sweats. If I woke up at a decent time I dressed a bit more properly. My clothes were always clean, no holes or stains. Just because someone doesn't wear slacks and heals everyday doesn't mean they aren't presentable. |

You said brands. As in there are brands of clothes designed for comfort where I don't have to look like a bum. I never looked like a bum but I dressed for comfort how I saw fit. I just don't understand what the need to look like a CEO of my own company at school. Sweats and a t shirt never hurt anyone or their education. |
noo silly, I didn't mean *brands* in that sense - let me rephrase that, there's enough affordable clothes selection out there for people to look presentable AND not overdressed in

+1 I definitely agree with this. At law school I find 90% of the people dress up in business attire (to the point where I even asked an upper-year at orientation if there was a dress code). I realize that many of the upper-years have presentations or go to court etc. thus they just end up staying dressed up all day. But I sometimes feel out of place b/c when I go to class I wear jeans and a t-shirt, as I'm a much more casual person. When I need to dress up, I do. But when I go to class, I don't see anything wrong with wearing casual clothes. However, I'm still against flannel pants and stained shirts. |

| I don't really buy the "I had no time so I just threw on some sweats" excuse. Is throwing on sweats really that much faster/more convenient than jeans and a t-shirt? You still have to put your pants on one leg at a time. I don't get it. :conf: |

For me it's a combination of things. If I'm running late and really tired I want to put on something really comfortable, and personally I find gym pants more comfy than jeans. It's also b/c I usually take a long time to decide what to wear (if it's not gym pants and a sweat-shirt). That's usually why I pick out what I'm going to wear the night before lol. I don't wear gym clothes to school often. |

I wear formal/casual every day at work - choosing the outfit the night before really saves a lot of hassle and saves a few minutes of sleep in the morning :)
