Dying to go there and Spain |
i spent a few months there, and not only was i exposed to the best music that i have ever heard, the best clubs that i have ever been to, but the people of germany were by far the most friendly and helpful people that i came across in europe.
i wish i can say the same for italians, man i can be so ashamed of my heritage sometimes:p
malek turks are essential, because other than the donner kebab, the food really sucks in germany.:p
the turks were a punishment after ww2 because of that whole holocaust thing. Most of the EU is selective about who can live there the last few years, but i have an EU passport so na na na na na:p |

My brother spent a summer there, and he came back saying the exact opposite of everything you just described... he was in the munich, frankfurt and sutegart(sp) areas.
You must've been in Berlin, because the rest of german sucks hard (unless you're blue eyed and blond). |

yeah malek, you are right in a sense. It was berlin although i checked out a few other cities. It might have something to do with your bro possibly looking arabic. The attitude to arabics in almost all of europe right now is not very good. I don't agree with it, but prejudice is everywhere, not just in hitler land.:p
is there actually a place that will make an authentic donner kebab in this town man? just thinking of it is making me weak at the knees.
malek i am brown eyed, black hair, and greasy olive skin:p |

my brother is not that different from you, he's as tall too.
anyways, one of the bouncer told him, "forget about getting in here, you're not german"... he never felt as embarassed in his life hehehehe... anyways, it changed his perception of Germany forever i think.

ahh that door policy is not just for arabics!!! A lot of clubs do it to avoid british and american tourists. The best way to fix that (if he ever goes again) is to make a few german friends or learn a few sentences of the language. The yanks and brits do not know how to behave, and the germans really take the atmosphere in their clubs seriously.
i had been refused entry too at first to a couple of clubs, but once i found out why and the bouncers knew i was not going in the place to get too ed up and start fights i never had a problem again. Never forget how many american soldiers live there, it was the same in seoul south korea. Many clubs have a no soldier policy so they go the extra mile to exclude anyone they think might start trouble.:) |
