+ 1

this is one of the best soccer articles I have read....

http://goal.com/en/news/1717/editor...y-guus-hiddinks

"The same can be said for Eric Abidal’s slight pull of Didier Drogba’s shirt before half time, which preceded a one second delay before the Ivorian catapulted himself onto the floor like he’d caught the plague"

:haha:

but the whole article is great....not just for that

+1....One of the only good things Scolari did was to bench him and play Anelka and Cole...too much attitude and he is always complaining...The thing that I find missing at some of the Chelsea players is there passion to play for their team as opposed to Man U, Liverpool & Barca.

May 27 th is the day, Barca will need to deliver something different ( hopefully not :P) or they will be on the verge of getting a big defeat.

well as much as his attidue stinks, he does score goals (tap ins, but still scores)

he benched him and they were slippy away, thats why scolari got sacked

i hope ranieri gets sacked and goes back to chelsea :p

argh so many rumours, he's staying, he's leaving to madrid, or chelsea.....

who knows

i think this summer is going to be interesting in terms of transfers, both coaches and players

Very good article, draws a clear detailed resume that denies the allegations of Hiddink. World cup 2002 was suspicious indeed.

i am obviously a fan of the azzurri , but south korea was crooked through and through. Even south koreans say it, i know, i have lived there.

I'm not a fan of the azzurri at all, but can't help but agree. As someone who did 8 years of Tae Kwon Do I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that korean sporting is the most crooked bull I've ever seen.

In all honesty, not because im italian, but that game was paid off, and theres no way around it. Whoever says so are either italian haters or should focus on hockey.

It happens, you think only teams like inter, milan and juve pay off refs & organizations...sadly it happens

i remember that day like if it was 3 hrs ago, i could not believe my eyes at all the bad calls (offside goals) and the red to totti for diving

but, like i said, the soccer gods keep an eye out....and rewarded italy in 2006 rightfully so

p.s. even vs spain they paid the ref....blame FIFA, they want to spread the "beautiful game" to other parts of the world

i think WC 2002 should not count (lol), honestly there were ALOT of weak teams (because it was held in the Asian Confederation), teams like Saudi Arabia..the 8-0 beating they got from germany

brazil only faced one real team (england) on the road to the final and should have suprisingly lost to turkey in the semis

i dont know, the whole tourney was very very fishy...in '06 you know FIFA were fully aware of this and "let go" of games, and it was one of the best tournments, great games like Brazil v France, germany v argentina, portugal v holland, and the semis were great too
