So go back to ing Sri Lanka and protest there, see how long they last. What the hell do they want from Jimmy Joe Bob heading in from Oakville to see his mom?

It's absurd, they're not even "protesting" something that any of us can actually do anything about. They seem to just want to make everybody else's lives miserable because they're unhappy.

wow, they are dumber than they look.

I kinda feel bad for the rest of the 200,000 Tamils in Toronto who have been racially tarnished by these under 2000 protesters that just broke the camel's back. 0.5% of their population made the rest look bad. That said, I can's say I can prejudge a group by .5% of their population.

apparently all major roads downtown are blocked. Thanks tamils for conducting a free traffic study as to what life would be like without the gardiner!!

Great point. Taking down the Gardiner is much dumber move than the protesters.

One thing I don't understand...is why do the protesters have an emblem of the Tamil Tiger on their flags??? This always confused me.

So their logic, is for Canada and US to send over soldiers so they can die in a war that has nothing to do with us whatsoever. Its a civil war for f*** sakes and its been going on in Africa for years and years, as well as in a few other countries.

This is why we should just deport all of the protesters. Why are we paying their welfare to live here and disrupt the daily lives of normal citizens?

There's been civil war in Sri Lanka for a while (last 20 years?) and it has esclated quite a bit this year.

Here's a good synopsis of it:

From Wiki...

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (commonly known as the LTTE or the Tamil Tigers) is a militant organization based in northern Sri Lanka. Founded in 1976, it has since actively waged a secessionist campaign that seeks to create an independent Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka.

I dont care whats going on in their home country now. If they live here they are canadian. We should really tighten our immigration laws, and only let people from less troubled nations in.
