You will just have to deal with it Matthew, on your own accord.

The doctors are all full of . Don't let anyone tell you "just find another doctor" because psychology is just one big ruse invented by the pharmaceutical company to give you a fake diagnosis and feed you FDA approved pills which will
1) be no better than a placebo
2) never give you a boner again
3) magically increase the thoughts of suicide

You know what they don't tell you to do that is in all the Chinese Magic books? Get a 24 Hours Fitness card. Yeah. Work out. Get them endorphins seeping out of your nuts. Excel at something you are good at. man, if you are good at nothing except Guitar Hero 9, enter a ing Guitar Hero 9 championship and kick everyone's ass. Show the pill pushers they can kiss your ass.

And really, I don't advise going to see a doctor because they will do nothing except waste your time and money. The only good thing they will do is reinforce the ideas in your head of what you should be doing (creating a routine, saving a duck's life, breathing the smell of fresh water, not making erratic decisions, etc).
This is horrible advice, the average person will say. Let's just follow Copernicus to the moon.

Thats what I was going to say :wtf:

Along with the fact that you have to be depressed for a few months, experience a few months of mania, then go back to months of depression before being diagnosed as bipolar. The Lithium could work.

What you have is bi-douchiery. Meaning, you are always a douche. :clown:

I'll take that advice. even the doctors killed the king of pop.

I do workout though and Ive been going 3-5 times a week in the past 3 months. workout is good but the good feelings only last till you fall asleep. the next day, your brain goes back to the typical again.

w/e. I hope I grow outta this . I should be locked up right now but it seems like the one above is giving me some chances.

I first ignored this post but since you claim you have it 100x worse than me, what are the ed up incidents that happened triggered by the disorder?

I stay the away from bipolar psychos. I lived with one and it was hell. Just because you'r ed up in the head doesn't mean you can take it out on me .

this is great advice for someone who is suffering from situational depression. bipolar disorder is a whole different story. it's a major chemical imbalance in the brain. it's hard to just say "i know:gsmile: i'll go to the gym and all of this will be over" lol

There are a lot of problems with the Therapeutic State, and people do tend to accept labels like they have broken switches in their brain. Homosexuality was accepted as a disorder towards the end of the 20th century after all, that really makes you think about the implications of a body of people being able to state certain behaviors as "normal".

I agree with you on the results of FDA tests in contrast with the placebo, one of which was 80 percent success w/med vs. 70 percent success with placebo (lithium carbonate). Very messy when the condition is an inexact one to begin with, and people just need to believe that they took the medical avenue to be at ease and move on with life.

The therapeutic state creates a very tiny window for normalcy. You sleep to much or too little. You go out too much or too little. You eat too much or too little. You work to much or too little. and on and on and on. If one reads the DSM4 for example, the vast majority of human beings can be said to have multiple disorders if everyone went under a scrutinized psychiatric evaluation.

With all that being said, we should not abandon psychiatry altogether. There are people that do benefit, and psychotropic medication is the best system we have that is based on science to heal these ailments. We cannot discredit psychiatry entirely, but rather, work to reform. 100 years from now they will be laughing at our practices like we laugh at lobotomies, but the margins of placebo vs. med are growing larger, and we are progressing somewhere. I was shocked at that 10 percent margin i previously mentioned, but when talking with my sister who is in med school about that specific test, she said its as good as gold for what exists in psychiatric practice today.

Personally, I was given an ADD diagnosis as a teen, since I was getting in trouble in school(smoking and other nonviolent ). I was really put in a situation where my words an opinions meant nothing, and my parents would manipulate events to influence the decision to get on ritalin(they wanted to believe that they were flawless parents, and could blame a condition for any shortcomings in their eyes). Any type of rebuttal of their story by me was seen as a "trait" that reaffirmed the ADD condition.

1. got the ADD meds.
2. sold that shiz.
3. PROFIT!!!

PS slylee-what you were describing can be described as "rapid cycling" bipolar if you want to look at it medically. But this is the majority of women on the rag! I have thought about keeping a "rag calendar" so I know when a handful of women I'm closest to are not to be argued with!

with Psychiatry, there was a quote Jerz posted once, which I think applies greatly. I cant remember its entirety, but this is a less profound rewording:

To be fully skeptical or trusting are both equally flawed, since both eliminate the need for reflection.

yea the pms sucks. it's all the physical stuff too. it really bothers me if a guy dismisses PMS as something that can be completely controlled, etc... i mean yea if you exercise and eat right, you're more likely to not have severe PMS symptoms but it still sucks to have smelly blood oozing from your gentialia accompanied by cramps, fatigue and headaches. i would like to think bad period cramps are similiar to the feeling you guys get when you're accidently kicked/tapped hard in the nuts and your stomach hurts.

i mean seriously. imagine you guys had smelly blood oozing out of your penis hole w/ that cramping, fatige and headaches. you'd be all like, DONT WITH ME too.
