Sorry dude, but sometimes hope, love, and family aren't enough. Lol. Tell that to someone with manic depression so bad that the only relief they see is from electroconvulsive therapy.

did they have whatever u just said 2000 years ago?
Silky Johnson
Nobody can know that. And the stressors we deal with today are much more complex than what they were 2000 years ago. While I understand your point and agree to an extent, it's attitudes and ignorance like yours towards mental health and healing that perpetuate stereotypes about mental illness and create stigma, and also put up barriers to treatment.

edit: "whatever I just said"...were you talking about manic depression, or ECT? No of course ECT didn't exist 2000 years ago, lol.

i kinda see what he/she was saying and i agree but i also know that it's a crock of to try and think that the world's problems can be solved with love or hope.

i do strongly believe that so many mental illnesses (if not all) are caused by things the mother did while pregnant and also from a bad upbringing. i think it would be hard to prove this though because i doubt many women would want to admit their bad habits while pregnant. i mean think of all the women who eat garbage or still smoke or something and don't take the proper vitamins while pregnant, etc... or imagine women who got pregnant and didn't know for the first month and in that month, she dropped e or did a bunch of coke or something and decided to keep the baby.

in fact, the whole ing problem with the world is bad parenting lol

come on, how can you be so unfaithful about life. i say it can.

and when you say world's problems, what created problem are you talking about?

it all boils down to how you want to see the world and its progression, and if you want to see it more mathematically or faithfully. both in my opinion have an existence, but i feel as if faith can do wonders and fix all those troubles you speak of, it's worked in the past. just believe babay lol :D

That's like saying you understand people have eyeballs and whatnot, but you feel that isn't a problem because of those "evolved human traits", so blind people should be able to see if they're cared for, regardless of what's impairing their vision. We're embodied creatures, and there's only so much we can do to overcome these limitations.

It would be truly awful.

Only half the time though.

yes i do agree what i said was not that correct sounding, but i just feel like faith hasn't been getting the proper recognition it deserves in human life, and it's been more by the books now. yes im sure illnesses can't be cured only with faith, but please don't tell me it can't have a role
Silky Johnson
Of course it has a role. Any modern medical health professional will agree that healing is a holistic endeavour.

No, all the time.

Half the time sufferers are manic and unable to control themselves or interact with others properly, while the other half they can be suicidally depressed.
