it isn't like it has helped you learn anything about it anyways.:p
you wanted to try and get kovalchuk ffs.
that may work in EA sports but not in real life. |

In EA sports you get kovalchuk for Dagostini Laraque and Pacioretty...it's a bit harder in real life. |

you would stop watching if we could get 2 first rounders and a bonafied young star?
do you realize that this would make the team better in the future? There is no now...the future is all we can hope for.
Who is the player on the habs who can get the most...you know the answer.:p |

they should be looking for a top line forward or top prospect plus a first and second rounder |

that is bob's job, not mine.
i am only saying that that combo might be the only one that gets his phone to ring. The possibilities are endless really.
if kessel gets 2 first rounders...markov can too;)
markov is better at his position than kessel. |

Burke was smoking some bad Peyote when he made that deal....no other GM in the world of sports would have made that deal. |

Here's the standings, I only listed the teams currently out of playoffs and ones on the bubble (Red Wings and Boston :p). Trade deadline is Mar 3 and the roster freeze is during Olympics so it's pretty much frenzy time now, two weeks to spare only. |

markov is a top 5 d man in the nhl. (arguable maybe, be he plays on the first pairing of any team in the nhl for sure).
he is arguably the best pp quaterback in the league...can't argue that either if you look at the habs pp. Before he came back it was among the worst in the league, and now i believe they are number 2.
he is defensively sound, especially for an offensive defenseman.
he has 2 years left on his contract. (5.75 million is a steal)
all this = more value than kessel. Another gm would not be crazy to give 2 first rounders for a proven premier player. Kessel isn't proven, he has not played long enough. Markov can make a contender into a favourite. |

How about Markov to Anaheim? Not sure what their cap situation is but Neidermayer may retire and they'll need such a defenceman to complement Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan, etc.
Just throwing it out there...
Markov for Souray :p |
