| I was only joking when I said that girls have no hobbies anyway. They just don't get all nerdy and obsessive about them like guys, generally. :-P |

I wasn't aware anyone in the past hour had said anything about any of you like that
Maybe I missed a page... |

The one thing I get nerdy and obsessive about is reading. If I find a new author that I like - I LITERALLY go out and buy EVERY copy of their books that a store has and read them ALL. I did that with Philippa Gregory recently. I read all of her books in under a month, too! |

| Yeah, lots of bored housewives buy torrid paperbacks from the grocer. |

Or gamers are such losers that they lack social skills. Perhaps they weren't loved enough by their mommies... :( *tear! |

one time my gf (now ex-) actually enjoyed watching me play Max Payne :toothless she just sat behind my back and looked over my shoulder. she liked the game plot a lot and asked me to walk through the entire game in her presence

| Don't get me wrong - I was down for a mass Halo game where all our friends were involved... but when it got to the point where we were constantly late for because he needed to get to a certain level or he wanted to leave events early so he could go home and play I was like GOOD GOD!  :o |

| You women just don't understand the kind of burning obsession that lets us block out all thoughts of normal responsibilities and socialization. ;-) |

My ex was an electrical engineer and all he and his friends did ALL the time was play games. If he had the day off he would be playing when I left for work (6 AM), when I returned he'd STILL be playing (6 PM) then I'd go out to dinner with my girlfriends and get back around 1 AM and he'd STILL be playing. He and his friends played so often they skipped meals and had zero friends unless they could talk to you on the headset. |
WTF? Why would you even date a nerd? :conf: |

Eh because he didn't come off as that nerdy at first. He was shy and cute and a little bit of a gamer (from what I knew). 5 years later - total douchebag. I figured out the secret - guys that come off as shy and cute and "I'm not normally this forward" - IT'S ALL PART OF THEIR GAME!
And I fell for it :(
Not anymore though! |

You do realise there are men out there that are very well capable of separating and prioritising hobbies (which may be computer games) to real life right?
I can't believe it took either took you 5 years to discover he was a nerd or that your ex was in the closet for 5 years lol. |
