But what if you get married and your wife turns into an absolute psycho? You hate her, you have fallen out of love with her, but you stick around for the kids. Would you cheat or would you remain miserable and settle for grudgingly half-hearted hate sex?

yes and my boyfriend is the same:D
and before you say "oh of course you would say that jamie because he's your bf", i'll have you know that i have admitted in the past without hesitation that i was with someone who would totally cheat on me.
i don't have proof, but i'm convinced my ex whom i was with for 3 years cheated on me twice. he's just that type. and he admitted to me that he cheated on his gf that he was with after me lol he's a scumbag. |

You can still have enough respect for someone to be honest with them and END the relationship, instead of cheating like a selfish punk and avoiding dealing with the situation like an adult.
I think you're missing the point of why people who don't cheat choose not to. I mean the fact that you're even suggesting cheating is even justifiable....lol. Who gives a what someone else does - that gives you a reason to be a head? Pretty weak character.
edit: And also to suggest that cheating is the only option in that situation?? Very immature. |

But you're sticking around for the kids, because divorce would them up or whatever it supposedly does to kids. If she's not going to you, and you're miserable but won't cheat, will you just settle for a good ol' fashioned fap session?
Again, I just don't have a lot of faith in other people, which is why I feel this way about cheating. |

What the are you talking about? You're really missing everything I'm saying, aren't you?
I can't even engage in this conversation anymore, lol. |

No, I don't think I'm missing the point. You said considering cheating the only option is immature, so I said what do you do if you WON'T get a divorce and won't cheat. It seems unfair to yourself.
Then again, I've always believed 'love' and sex are two very, VERY different things.
I don't know why my opinion is making you so angry. I don't have a negative feeling over yours, or Slylee's or Lira's. |

This is such a goddamned crock of horse , lol. You can STILL talk to your partner about whatever issues you have. At the end of the day, it's not about love, it's about RESPECT.
As per "the right conditions", that's horse too. The right conditions don't exist. You create them in your mind.
No, I really don't think you understand what I'm saying. |

| Maybe I don't understand what you're saying. Still, I respect your opinion in saying not everyone cheats. I really hope you're right and I'm just cynical. I just feel its naive to believe in others. |

I don't see how that's any more naive than assuming no one is honest or respectful of others. |

I don't disagree that the majority of people are ing retards with poor character who have no concept of common courtesy or consideration, respect, honesty, etc.
But you're 100% wrong when you say that EVERYone will cheat under "the right circumstances." Just think about what that really means, in terms of our free will, ability to choose, what motivates us, etc. |

| You're right, I guess that statement was taking it a bit too far. |
