| Any woman that marries a pro athlete [or golfer] has to understand an unspoken rule. She gets the Amex black, the trips to anywhere, anytime, her kids [and their kids, kids,etc...] are taken care of for life, all in exchange to turning a blind eye to what goes down on the road. I'd be willing to bet that 90% of these women married these dudes for financial "stability" and not love anyway, so they should know what's up. And, I'm sure most of 'em do. It's the delusional gold diggers that get themselves into trouble. |

| Though he is responsible for the birth of 37% of New Orleans residents, Shawn Kemp did not father a stable of unfaithful pro athletes & unleash them on the unsuspecting trollops of the world. Believe it or not, folks, most athletes manage to keep it together. If stuff like this was the norm, nobody would care when it happened. |

Having been friends with several guys who play in ECHL and AHL (pro hockey leagues in North America) as well as others who have played hockey overseas, I can tell you that this behavior is pretty normal for pro athletes.
Lets not forget who we're talking about here. PRO ATHLETES. Compared to the average joe these guys are younger, bigger, stronger, better looking, have higher testosterone, have more confidence, have much more money, are potentially famous, and are away from home half the year with their teammates!
These guys get opportunities that no one else gets. Not just because of their fame, but also because they are always with the boys on the road. Throw in the high testosterone, the competitive spirit, and the knowledge that they can get any woman, and you've got yourself a recipe for infidelity. |

| hockey players don't count. using their behavior as an example of the self control of pro athletes is like basing an argument on the aggressiveness of dogs on your experiences with a neighbor's pitbull. |
