Another crock of . Something is either acceptable or it isn't. |
Surely that would make sentencing for any crime be exactly the same... ;) |

Actually, now that this thread has a different title, I'm curious to find out what country he's referring too. Mr. Woods is American, his wife is Swedish, and many posters here come from different countries...

I was referring to Murica, but I guess the whole world is wondering wtf is up too :p |

Apples and oranges. My point stands. I don't give a what you guys think, and I'm not asking you to agree or debate. It's how I feel about it. You're going to debate with me about how I personally feel about something? Lol. |

Of course it is, if it goes outside of the agreed upon terms of the relationship. Honestly, it's really not that difficult of a concept to grasp. It doesn't work on a sliding scale. |
Sadly, very few couples have expressed "agreed upon terms of [their] relationship." |

Ah, but agreement can be expressed in so many ways...
jennypie's end user license agreement, for example, is over 1,200 pages long and is subject to hourly revision without notice; yet, her packaging clearly states that "by using this product, you agree to the enclosed terms." |

I think we're on the same page here... if a couple does not sit down; negotiate terms, and document same then one cannot simply state that an action outside the agreed to terms, blah blah blah, as there are no agreed terms; rather, only expectations, which may or may not be shared. |

ok so i can answer bananas' question now.
whether it's a kiss, a one night stand, or a month's worth of emails that clearly show some kind of emotional and/or sexual connection, i'd be gone.
it has nothing to do with which one is less of an offense than the other, it has to do with the breaking of trust...period.
it would be hard for me to forget that and trust again and i guess it would just depend on whether or not i feel it's worth it to forgive and try to move on. but i would most likely bail...unless we are married and have a kid together, maybe i'd try to work through it but i can't say for sure. i'd probably bail anyway. |

if he was going out of town and not cheating but doing massive amounts of drugs behind my back, it would be the same .
how is that a hard concept to grasp? trust is trust. if you break it, you break it...doesn't matter how, you just broke the goddamn trust. end of story. |

| well, personally, i'd much rather have my girl do blow behind my back, then blow behind my back. though i understand that essentially it's part of the same problem (trust issues). |

| if you thought your woman was a total drug free angel and found out she does massive amounts of coke and pills when she is out of town with her girlfriends, trust me...you'd be PISSED. and you'd start questioning every other thing about her. you'd be like, 'goddamn i dont even know who you are right now'. at least that's how i'd feel. |

i guess it comes down to "amounts", doesn't it?
if it's "massive" then yes i'd very much be pissed. but if she went down to miami to visit her old college roommate and they got down on some lines while partying one night, i'd be like "when in rome"... you know?
i would also probably ask why i wasn't invited along... |
