| So, I think the next phone I get will be the HTC Ace. Some was leaked about it in the last day or so, and it seems like it will be roughly the AUS equivalent of the HTC Incredible. |

Ok, so I've had my Incredible for a week or so now and I'll go ahead and review it a bit for the of it.
I'm giving it a 4/5.
First, the bad:
Battery life - my blackberry lasted almost two days without needing charged even after two years and heavy usage. This phone struggles to make it through the day at times. I know it's to be expected with these new-fangled contraptions with amoled screens and . Get a task manager because going on in the background will DRAIN it. Also get a car charger or backup battery.
Accelerometer - not sure if this is an issue with my phone alone or what, but the accelerometer is ing annoyingly laggy at times. Not sure why.
the joystick - why is it there? I never use it. It's severely limited, and using it as the camera shutter button is dodgy at best.
Other than that this phone's awesome. Very snappy processor, clear screen, and everything other than a few small gripes works near perfectly. I'm able to look past all these things easily. It's far easier to type on the device than I thought it'd be (although I still miss my blackberry keyboard). |

I seriously thought you were taking the piss, but when I googled I found out that was actual phone names. |

Battery life sucks balls compared to a BB because you come from a phone that does all but email.

Yeah the stupid ass frequencies suck. Although, my phones work on EU 3g because it has those bands too.

first impressions of the samsung vibrant (galaxy s)
i love this phone! battery life was supposedly a concern (according to cnet's review), i gave the phone a full overnight charge when i got it, and it's consistently lasting 2 days on one charge for me. my use is primarily text/email (both work and personal) and fb browsing (probably 3-4 times a day) with very occasional phone calls.
probably going to take me a bit to get used to all the things that this phone can do, my old phone was the samsung trace, which served me well, but as you can imagine didn't do nearly what this thing does.
i got a screen protector to make sure that i don't run into any issues with the phone and that kinda dulled the brightness and gave the phone a slight pixelated look - will possibly change this out to a different one in the future. |

yeah!!!!!! :D
i ended up deciding to wait for the streak to come to aus cause of all the hassles, and general realisation that i was being stupidly impatient... :p
BUT in the meantime i ordered a second hand HTC desire off the ebay :haha:
wanted one since they came out, so should entertain me until the streak comes out here, probably in a few months, then my girlfriend will steal the desire, and i'll move up :D
was looking at the galaxy, and its guts are apparently a fair bit better, but the desire looks so much better :p |
