But more that, it's a practical issue. If a white guy, or indeed a black guy, was shot in a pretentious moody style, this wouldn't be an issue. The point I'm getting at is Aber's skin colour is not much darker in this picture.
If they're not trying to fool people, they must be being straight about it, and nobody is going to openly use blackface, are they? That would leave them open to massive criticisms of blatant racism. I just do not find this thought process remotely convincing.

This is on no one's behalf but my own. I think it's offensive that an artist is stealing from other artists first and foremost, and in this case it happens to represent what is the wholesale plundering of a distinctly black culture.
