ok. great one. didn't see that coming.
now, let's stay on topic. |

| The sad thing is..these nutcases making predictions with "timewave zero" are so vague and elusive with their statements that literally ANYTHING can be plugged in when the time comes as "the event" predicted by the theory. We live on a planet with 6 billion+ people. As the law of averages plays out, crazy and unlikely things happen all the time. You can bet these apocalyptic nuts will be watching the news from November 10-November 20 and will plug in anything unusual that happens as "proof" that the theory was correct. |

as much as you're just drooling at the mouth to attack my words and post smiley faces, i would suggest taking the time to perhaps research what i'm talking about (timewave zero, webbot, etc). |
so, what happened in early july 2010? because ive had a quick hunt, and to me it looks like Earth: business as usual. given your capacity for critical thought, im sure your conclusions are very different.

wouldn't you agree i would look stupid if i say i fully believed the crap's gonna hit fan in november, and it doesn't? |
no, i think you would look pretty stupid if you thought electronic algorithms could predict the future. unless of course we're talking about sophisticated data mining of say, islamic websites that indicate a terrorist plot was about to reach its grand finale.

likewise you would look rather stupid, being so apparently confident that nothing will happen, when it in fact does. |
i expect epic, catastrophic phenomena to occur regularly until the day i die (and obviously, afterwards) because the universe is a chaotic place. i think there are ways in which human beings can predict certain catastrophes (with large degrees of error), with science and the study of our surroundings.
my point was that if nothing happens by november 14 2010, and then something occurs in january, your simple mind will conclude that this was the big catastrophe you were expecting, you were "merely" a couple months off.
i dont need childish mysticism and prophecy to give my life (or my understanding of the natural world) meaning. |

i see you have taken the time to do some research. well done my friend.
what they are predicting is immense in size.
the web bots in particular. the guy who runs the thing said this november will, either way, be the death of the web bots. because either their prediction is accurate, and something so life changing occurs which renders the web bot program nonoperational and futile, or nothing happens and they are seen as a failure.

also don't know if any you guys are familiar with the "web bots". to make it short, it's a program/software which can also detect future events. and they, too, predict something to happen early-mid november.
|
Oh man... not the "web bots" thing. Do you understand how that program works? I mines data, identifies what people are talking about and then makes predictions based on same. It was created to pick stocks, which it did quite well because as more and more people become aware of positive news regarding a stock it gets talked about more and more, leading to more people buying it, leading to higher prices... so if you can pick it up early in the "people getting excited about it" cycle you can make some good cash. What the bots are doing when you apply it to "the end of the world" is picking up a bunch of chatter on 2012 predictions, wars, and people like you talking about "the end times." It also then picks up people like me pointing out to people like you that there is no reliable, specific, end of days prophesies in the Bible... particularly for those of you that look at Revelations as the literal end of days prophesy, as the only thing it predicted what that the early church would survive the Roman "kill those no good Jesus-jews" times. So everytime "you say the world is ending, Jesus is coming, repent ye sinners" and I say "you should really take the time to understand the religion you claim to hold so dear as it contains no claims that the world will end in the foreseable future" the program records a tick... as it gets more and more ticks it compiles them and predicts something will happen... not because the interweb has some special power to predict the future; just because people are talking about something terrible happening. As I said, this works great with stock prices as people talking about stocks has a real result on demand for same and therefore on prices; however, people talking about whether or not the world is going to end has little effect on any mechanism that could actually put an end to human life. |

and if you took the time to read and consider the entire original post before saying " you" and posting that incredibly hilarious picture, you would know that i'm not talking about religion. i'm talking about spirituality.
|
Spirituality is just a word people came up with for when they dont want to say religion. "Oh im not religious at all, im just very spiritual" Bull. Its the same thing when they invented intelligent design because nobody was buying creationism. Except these attempts to obfuscate religion are so pathetic a slightly retarded amoeba could see trough them.
And i dont need to read your entire post, because i know from where you and the people you look upon base your presumptions. You cant build a valid theory based on at best vast exaggerations and distortions of historical events and at worst outright lies.
As for any of the predictions about serious stuff gong down soon, i will refer you too the elements Cv(16) and Ap(2012) in the Periodic table of Irrational Nonsense. Namely clairvoyance and apocalyptic prophecies.
And since were alredy talking about people that believe the end times are near. PKC, want to help set up a website where the good god fearing people who believe they will be raptured on 21.05.2011 (Source ) can donate some of the money they will no longer need (since they will be chilling with jesus) to us poor souls that will be left behind?
No refunds, if the rapture doesnt actually happen of course. |
